Depends on the context.

The movie Das Boot shows a German submarine crew and the trials at sea. In the credits, it says "X thousand German sailors died in their metal coffins under the sea."

The lovely people of the USA cheered many things, one of such was USA, USA, USA. I tend to see that as highly offensive. I ask all Americans this, do you think it would be okay for the Japanese to chant, "Nippon, Nippon, Nippon" during a movie about the Rape of Nanking? I sure as hell don't. Killing is killing, no side should be cheered.

The second example hasn't happened (according to my knowledge, but I feel it is the same).

Can it be? Sure. Is it reasonable to arbitrarily consider it offensive, regardless of context? Hell no. It is rare for these chants to be mean-spirited, and banning it outright is both an act of paranoia and a power trip.

They were certainly chanting NIPPON when they were flying their planes into our carriers and ships. And yes it is OK for them to chant it while doing so because FREE SPEECH.

Ah redneck, the classic elitist term for belittling the working class of European ethnicity.

Working outdoors in the sun is something to mock someone about, right?

Generally Redneck = blue collar
Degree Work = white collar

Just my 50 cents on it.

Rednecks around here mostly construction workers, welders, farmers, mechanics, and tradesmen around here. Many of them move onto being engineers. They are the ones making really good money and have stable jobs. A lot of people shouting redneck as a slur are people working shit jobs because they have no skills or went to school for Mongolian flute wrestling.

Its crazy how certain professions are ostracized so much nowadays.

you should be able to take pride in ones country this isn't some communist country where you are forced to follow one mindset. Always remember the phrase the grass is always greener on the other side. things may appear to be perfect but thats never the case every country has it's flaws and people will have a different opinion about everything.
