I used to be a system admin and there were days when absolutely nothing was broken, required maintenance and no tickets were coming in (weekends/holidays). On top of that I worked from home so... I'd just set things up to give me audio notifications if I was messaged, emailed or something needed to be tended to and then nap. I felt guilty doing it, but there was literally nothing else I could do given my access at the time and so one can only stare at the monitor so long with nothing to engage them before your brain goes into nap mode.

I haven't actually had a proper office job yet, but that may change in about a year once I graduate from college. So... we'll see.

It happens a lot if you're someone who looks after the mentally ill and people do not show up for work.

When winter rolls around and it snows I have to stay at work clearing snow which can lead to having to stay overnight. I don't mind it I have a sleeping bag n a tv n stuff set up to make it bearable.

It depends on the job you work some require you to sleep there. It's not typical in office jobs though in the West if New Game is what raised the question.

I always sleep at work. Two full jobs one during the day, one at night. I spend maybe a total of 2 1/2 hours at my actual home.

So you basically live to work?

You must love what you're doing

I've done holiday camps before so of course there's going to be sleeping at night in a proper bed. I got up well rested to find out what the day's activities would be.

It's not normal in my country (Northern Europe), but I've done it on two occasions 10-15 years ago.
At my last job, they had a couple of mattresses laid out in the break room during the most busy seasons.
I never slept there, but the manager had quite a long drive to work, so he slept at work.
