I plan on making very short youtube videos or some kind of short blogposts that would be able to quickly show people whether the anime they plan to watch contains things that annoy them.
As an example for me that would mostly be misunderstandings and fanservice.

Therefor I would like for you to give me suggestions for new things to add to the list (maybe things that put you off) or alterations I should make to the list so that it's more specific and helpful.

These are things I have so far:
1) Fanservice
2) Unrealistic body proportions (when a characters doesn't fit in with rest of the cast and/or the environment,
this also involves characters with boobs too large for their body)
3) Plot conveniences or deus ex machina
4) Narration
5) Misunderstandings
6) Frequent sentences that end with nya, kero and other similar usually animalistic sounds
7) When characters instantly fall in love with another character for no other reason other than them being the lead
8) Holding back crucial information without any other excuse than keeping the same plot going

Things that are not instantly noticeable:
1) Blank slate (boring) main characters
2) Unrealistic harems (usually connected to the first point, as in everybody falls in love with someone with no personality)
3) One note characters (usually defined by one or two personality traits or tropes with no depth or growth)
4) Uncontrollable power escalation
5) Mary Sue characters (can seemingly do everything perfectly)
6) Filler episodes
7) Repetition (when a new story arc is almost exactly the same as the last one only with different characters)
8) Undefined world and power limitations (usually lead to uncontrollable power escalation)

I would love to be able to start doing this by the time the new anime season starts and cover as many anime as possible.

How about:

- Inconsistencies and discrepancies between the anime and manga.
- Whether or not people who liked the manga will like the anime.

I understand the main focus of your videos will be anime and this will cause you way more work, but there are some people that care about that information. Just an idea, best of luck.

I have thought about that but it would require for me to read the source material for every anime that I cover (at least read up to the part that I'm covering in the anime) and that would be very time consuming. That would only be possible if I outsource part of the research to people that have read the source material. Even then I would need to somehow which change is large enough to be mentioned because in every adaptation there would be a lot of minor changes that come with adapting to another medium.

I know this is one of the main things people are worried about when things they like are being adapted but it would still be very difficult to do on a large enough scale.

Hmm I can't really think of anything relating to the story and characters, what about inappropriate use of CGI.

It's kind of hard to objectively judge whats inappropriate and I can try to judge clunky/bad CGI, which is still a bit subjective but could work.

Here's some more:

- Animation studio / Animation look and feel
- Similar shows i.e: If you liked that and that you'll probably enjoy this
- Sound design and soundtrack
- A lot of reiteration i.e. Naruto flashbacks for stuff you just recently saw and clearly remember.

I like this idea a lot! Short, sweet, and I think it really would be helpful for people who are interested in new animes. May I suggest you add a short bit on positives of the anime, too? Fans could get annoyed if their favorite animes are only categorized into sixteen annoying tropes Also, if you wanted to do these seasonally, wouldn't you have to wait until the end of the season to do these?

I always thought that the positive would be the lack of negatives since I'm trying to be as objective as possible in just pointing out things and not necessarily judging them. But that's not a bad idea and I'm going to try to think of things that would work like this but in a positive direction.

If you noticed I split the list up in two parts one that contains things that don't require much context and things that aren't instantly noticeable (require more context or watching or the whole show).
So I decided to the the 3 episode rule for the list without context (since if these things are in the anime they will usually appear within the first 3 episodes) and save the other list for maybe more popular shows or ones that weren't judged fairly with the 3 episode rule.

Also it would be impossible to do every anime of every season fully (it would take up too much time).

Most of the seems quite subjective and hard to me to judge except for maybe the flashbacks.
Also recommendations are hard since different people have different reasons they liked the same anime.
But thanks for the feedback it has been very helpful.
