Honestly, your best bet at getting these musicals available in video form in North America (or other English-speaking places) is Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll has proven repeatedly that they're willing to take a chance on something new, and willing to trudge through some amount of Japan's trademark bureaucracy to do so. The site is well-trafficked enough by otaku that if anyone is able to drive traffic to it, it's them. Nobody knows if there's a fanbase for this stuff in the West yet, but if there's potential there, it's going to take some effort to bear fruit.

But I recommend you bug Crunchyroll if this is something you want to see

....so?

There are fans who are interested in them. Go on the Tumblr communities for any fujoshi-targeted series, the fans will be talking about the stage plays. The fans know the stage play actors as well as they know the seiyuu, and follow them all on Twitter. They fansub and post clips of the plays. They get excited over the backstage material that's always on the DVDs.
Also, every other "Top Selling Anime DVDs/BDs in Japan" list has one mentioned as selling more than any anime that week.
This is especially true for Touken Ranbu. The stage plays have a different story than the anime, and there are several, so if you're just watching the two anime series, you're getting less than half the canon story. They even have figures of the costumes from the musicals.

Thoughts?
Also, what are your favorite anime stage plays/musicals? Actors?

The second Black Butler musical is such nostalgia for me~

I saw the Death Note musical on youtube a couple weeks ago (subbed) and I thought it was terrific. I imagine at some point it'll be taken down, but I see no reason why it couldn't find a more permanent home right here on Crunchyroll. I mean, they have the TV drama. Heck, maybe they could even host the Korean version. I understand all the songs were originally composed in English, and that there may be a version staged in the US sometime in the nearish turn. I don't see any reason why Crunchyroll couldn't get involved in that, too.

Also idol anime seiyuu performances. I know UtaPri has live concerts, Pythagoras idols perform at Rejet Fest, and of course, Love Live. Tsukiuta has live performances, but it's not the seiyuu that do them. I'm pretty sure Ensemble Stars does it like Tsukiuta...

But UtaPri, Rejet's series, and Love Live all have concerts with the seiyuu, with costumes and dancing and everything. They're amazing.

The Love Live ones even had international live streaming. ...I wish Pythagoras were popular enough to get that... UtaPri isn't popular enough either... I don't even like UtaPri but I'd go if they had a screening, just because Shouta Aoi is in it.

Also, the Touken Ranbu musicals are having a Kashuu Kiyomitsu idol live. Yeah. That sounds amazing.

I'm usually not interested in musicals, but I'm particularly interested in this musical of Sailor Stars, which I gather from the 3rd link is being performed Sept. 8 - Oct. 1.

I personally haven't seen any anime musicals but I would have no issues at all at least checking them out as I enjoy anime (duh) and musicals as well.

I would be absolutely on board with streaming of idol, jpop, jrock, etc. concerts though. I already own all of the Love Live SIP Lives and all but one of the Wagakki Band Live Blu Rays and watch them regularly. I'd be all over that. They could even do it as a limited release if they couldn't get the rights to having them as a permanent library addition. Something like having the show on the site for a couple of weeks or a month, streaming the first 20 minutes of the show free for all users and the full show for paying subscribers only.

Twitter maybe? The proper CR account probably won't respond but maybe if you go to Victoria or Miles?

FYI: Here's a link to a copy of the sailormoon-official Le Mouvement Final promo that someone added English subs to.
