Crunchyroll is unavailable. Try again later.

But it isn’t only Crunchyroll, I have the same problem with abc News and Sky News.

Update. As I wrote this, it suddenly worked. I had restarted both the router and the Apple TV prior to writing this.

A router and Apple TV restart worked fine for me.

When you see this happen, try using the app on your with and without wi-fi. It's more than likely, its not Crunchyroll's servers, but how your Apple TV is communicating with your Wi-fi. I just changed my DCHP address and it fixed the problem.

I honestly do not even know why I keep paying for my yearly sub.
Every night CR servers have issues and it makes both my Apple TV’s lose connection with the CR app and respond with the “the data couldn't be read because it isn't in the correct format” when I put my password. I wait till the next day and it logs me in.

Mind you everything else works with my equipment. I stream Netflix/Hulu/HBO/PrimeVideo without any issues but CR never fails to fail.

I am starting to get this error as well. I am not sure what is going on, because I can log in on my phone app still, I can log in on my computers and my ipads.... its just my apple tv's that are being effected now. its really annoying. I would love a fix for this other than waiting 24 hours for it to "magically fix itself"

Yeah I am very disappointed that after many years this issue is still happening.
Why are the Devs not even trying to do anything?

Same issue “data is not in the correct format” resetting network connection is useless. Only happens with Crunchyroll on Apple TV.

The help forum is primarily for user-to-user support. Back in older times, CR support staff would check in if they finished with all the normal support requests, but I don't know if that is still true. The only support staff I've seen that do it recently appear to be doing so on their own time.
