So, tell me, do you think this way of bathing is interesting or pointless?

The characters in anime and people in real life all wash their bodies before they jump into a warm bath. I get that they don't want to sit in their own filth which makes sense. Then I wonder if that is a waste of water or something. I don't know maybe I'm overthinking things. But I still like the idea.

Anyway, what do you think?

A lot of the time the water is shared through out the family. Baths usually have built in heaters so the water doesn't get cold, so the water isn't really wasted.

Then you put the bath water into the miso soup the next morning.

Like a broth, it's traditional.

According to the internet, they have bath additives that let you bath in a 'soup' of miso, ramen, or other types of broth.

I believe what they're talking about is a pervert thing, though. All I know is that my mother liked the bathtubs because they're so deep, but she didn't use it that way.

I like deep bathtubs. Anyway, I find that weird the whole bathing in the soup of miso and stuff but whatever.

It's an aromatic thing, I gathered. Not really much different than perfumed bath salts or whatever.
