Heyo, so I was wondering how many people on crunchryroll enjoy metal as much as I do. I'm talking about black metal to nu-metal. Please tell me what types of bands and what type of metal fancies you the most.

Bands:
Black Tongue
Oceano
Ingested
Abiotic
Suffocation
Unleashed
Malevolent Creation
(To name a few)
There are way too many subgenres in metal for me to care about. Metal is metal and that's it.

Nu-Metal is to Metal as what Nu-Jazz is to Jazz. Both are influenced by, but not real forms thereof.

My favorite metal bands are prolly...
Alcest
Windhand
Extol
Underling
Sepultura (with Max, not that other dude)

I listen to basically every subgenre. Some bands I quite like include Death, Exodus, In Flames, Megadeth, Insect Warfare, Annihilator, Tourniquet, Helloween, Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, Artillery, Dismember, High on Fire, and Lost Society.

Colony > Jester Race > Clayman = Whoracle > Lunar Strain

Anything after Clayman is not worth mentioning.

There's these two bands, Shokran and Shadow of Intent I love a lot, both have different themes and work very well in my opinion. I mostly listen to different types of metal though, like right now I'm loving August Burns Red, and Korn, sometimes I listen to Slipknot also but not really anymore.

I'm not sure what specifically is metal in this case but I have a preference for the older metal that was out in the 80s and early 90s. Heavy metal or hair metal/ glam rock ( are they the same or different?) There is so many sub genres of rock and metal.

I was born a few years too late to appreciate it in its prime but I love it now. Also would you all still classify it as metal/hard rock or is it just classic rock compared to everything that's come out since.

I'm a bit behind the times so please excuse my lack of education on metal and rock. I'm just rediscovering it since I've been living under a rock for that past few years.

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through and this is really good. It also, however, makes me long even more for old In Flames. How the mighty really have fallen.
