This was a week or so ago. They are targeting places of worship so churches also became soft targets from the look of it.

These psychopaths are trying to outdo each other :? I don't bring my gun when i go to church/temple (if any) but from the look of it i have to reconsider that decision.

this shooting incident is pretty much under the rug at this point

you got a guy from Sudan with some questionable facebook posts before committing mass shooting. It's like everything else unless the shooter was white -- not an immigrant/refugee/minority/Muslim/etc..

Revenge for the Charleston church shooting.
I don't go to church, but my family that does started carrying there because of this.

“in sum and in no way verbatim,” the note made reference to retaliation for the actions of Dylann S. Roof,

Now knowing that the congregation was mixed because he was once a member makes me wonder why he chose it.

America needs mass therapy and a better education.

Walk down the street here and see how many people you find who function under Self-Serving Bias, Fundamental Attribution Error, and Selective Memory Bias.

It's like a country that's being overwhelmed by people with destructive psychological traits.

Unhinged individualism has made people think that corporations influencing public policy is OK as long as it doesn't effect you personally. The Irony is that it does. But most people are so short sited that they don't see how it all ends up screwing everyone over in the end... As long as we get our distractions and pretend our personal existence is more important than everyone elses nothing will every get better systematically. Countries can't function with such idealistic non-sustainable models of how the world ought to work. Just look at all the damage unhampered corporatism does to our process in all avenues (Economics, the ecosystem, human psychology, government policy). It's literally destroying the sustainability of America but people don't seem to care. They've convinced themselves that loud cars, and nice fashion, expensive restaurants, and a social media following is more important than understanding the flaws in the system.

How many of you actually truly identify with any of that stuff, just curious? How many of you wake up thinking that your life is more meaningful and worthwhile because you feel so insecure that you compare yourself to everyone else and it has told you that these are the things you need in order to be happy? I don't think there is anything wrong with things but I definitely think there is something wrong with an excess of things when it is all based on something flawed.

Certain cultures understand the advantages to collectivism and so they exist in between community and culture and individuality. Going either way too far in one direction leads to nothing but weakness.

There's a strange duality in America when you realize that we are also a Military culture. You talk to anyone who has served and they come back saying similar things about how they felt something in the military they didn't have before. A longing, a sense of brotherhood and purpose, collectivism. The irony is that in pushing this separate but free ideology that so many Americans do they end up longing for it other places. Church is another place. These institutions give people a sense of companionship that humans NEED to survive and thrive.

But for some reason if it is brought up in the government sphere you are a communist. If saying that individualism has spiraled out of control and allowed for us to let our institutions that protect us be invaded by outside interest makes me a collectivist then so be it.

I read dozens of stories in the MSM about this, and dozens more on "conservative" sites trying to tell me that I wasn't reading those other stories. The "conservative" sites pointing out that this fellow had come from Sudan, and many of those stories mentioning, in passing I am sure, that Sudan is a Muslim nation. It's like those "conservative" authors while trying to say that this story was being ignored by the MSM were themselves ignoring that Samson had been brought over as a 4 year old because his Christian family (along with hundreds of thousands of other Black Christians) was being persecuted by the Sudanese government.

Had to delete some stuff. A few subsequent posts will likely be out of order, but it should catch up reasonably quickly.
