I keep getting app notifications about new shows. I'd rather just find them myself. Is there a way to disable these without blocking all notifications from the app? When I block all notifications, I lose the video controls in notifications that I use while I'm playing something via Chromecast.

Please help!

One way that I can think of:

- install a firewall (NoRoot Firewall offers filtering)
- activate the firewall
- wait for a notification to appear
- open the app and go to the access log tab
- find the CR notification entry, tap it and select create custom filter
- double tap the wifi and/or data icon/checkbox to block it.

Technically this should work, I haven't been able to test it yet though. The only problems I can foresee happening are that the notification address and port overlaps with some other function of the service/app, or the address itself is dynamic. You also will need to have the firewall running all the time and do an initial setup to allow all your other apps internet access.

Edit: I stumbled upon an account setting for push notifications I'm not sure if this affects the notifications you are receiving but it may be worth checking out. Settings > Push Notification Settings > Uncheck New media notifications.

Thanks for the reply! Took me a while to respond.

I don't see the Push Notification Settings, but I'm also no longer Premium. Thank you though.

Edit: Looks like you meant the site and not the app! I found it!
