Not sure though.

The only thing I use my Yahoo email for, is signing up for giveaways and stuff. They can send all that annoying spam there, that I rarely check, and keep my main email free from that crap.

None of my family ever used Yahoo mail, or so I thought until the first news of this hack came out. It turns out that my parent's UK ISP had been using Yahoo to provide all of its email services.

I am not sure whether I am more annoyed at the hack, the fact it took years for Yahoo to admit the hack or that my parent's ISP was using a third party email service without clearly informing customers.

Oh well I'm safe, I got lastpass. Just need to change the lastpass password and no worries for me

who here still uses yahoo or remembers the password for yahoo mail..?

Well they still offer services that many industries use. For instance the photography industry use it's Flickr service a LOT due to it not compressing images like facebook, instagram and pretty much every other website. I use it for my photography stuff for instance. They also offer video hosting solutions that many companies use.

But with that said, I don't think their used much by regular people

gmail? aol? msn, etc.. if you are using free email service

there's no guarantee that your email will get not get hacked :/ beside it's free so you can't really sue them for negligence

It's a pain but 2 step verification is a must now a day!!!

I still have a yahoo mail, but I haven't used it for anything for quite some time, I do log in from time to time to keep it active however. it's not all that great of an email provider in my opinion compared to some of the better ones out there. too bad for those who do legit use that service, let's hope nothing important was learned.
