Oh man, this show is definitely getting stranger and stranger.

I'm also pretty sure that it will feature sweets or some sort of delicious food every episode from now on.

Ahh the "zombies" at the end of last episode was just a tease, still just about sweet snacks and fighting scoopers. Did like Sayumi, however after 3 episodes ehh I don't think I'll stick around. The purple spots showing up I doubt are some alien disease from eating the scoopers or anything insidious like that. Ah well I doubt I was the target audience anyway.

This is a rare thing for me to say but. I'm dropping this series. The artwork, characters, and story are just so horrible. I havn't dropped a series since momokuri.

Going to have to agree with KKmenchi, This show is without a doubt for a different audience. Shame too, I had a lot of hype going for it, but its just not grabbing me and I cant honestly pinpoint why is the weirdest part

I would suggest if anyone wants to see a similarly themed show done way better, watch The Rolling Girls. It's got the same color pallette and there are aliens but it has an actual story the girls are way more likable, the art is better but still unique and the music is great.

Always watch your back around the lolis.

I'm really digging this art style. Maybe I'm so overstuffed with same-y same-y anime art and character design my brain is desperate for something different. The show is definitely paced like something for kids. Maybe trying to get the hooked on Harajuku early. =P

URAHARA EP 1 "Donut Crisis”

At first I was kinda let down but it came to me it's like Excel Saga / Flip Flappers kinda mixed tohether And the pastel / free form is actually nice like the Beatles "Yellow Submarine " / " Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart Club Magazine " so I get it

This was much hyped and has drawn a lor of wrath from anime fans I guees it is minda of a niche anime

As far the scoopers UFO's it's a diifferent take on abduction and or taling of resources in this case cultural

URAHARA EP 2 "Popcorn Panic”

This was much better especialy with the homage to FLCL intentional or not with Rito riding her platform like Haruka (FLCL ) with her Bass Guitar and Mary with her cannon like Canti ( FLCL) turning into a canyon

I am still curious about Misa / more on Kotoko in EP 4

I am not a fan of the talking Shrimp however

URAHARA EP 3 “Crêpe Craving”

Sayumi is just cool but nice story about Rito her artist block but inds an answer after talking to Sayumi and doing her ary work on a wall which the scoopers are trying to steal the girls protect RiTo's art

URAHARA EP 4 "Ice Cream Fever”

At first I disliked Kotoko but she is smart / aloof and cares about her only 2 friends who accepted her whon othrs disdain her She is worried when she spots on Rito / Mari Taking a strand of Mari's hair then trying to take blood to research the spots scaring them then destroying Riro's sign she is worried they hate her but not so as a jelly scooper apperas and is hard to destroy but her freeze bombs and on the spot trid calculations make Ice Cream as the girls say they are still friends

So, half way through the show now at episode 6 and they are still fighting otherworldly monsters. I'm sure we'll probably learn the real reason for all this strange stuff happening soon.

Just feels strange that every week, it's the same formulatic plot they've been using.

I've been wondering, is this a kid's series? It really feels like a kid's series. Not knocking it as I'm enjoying it just the dialogue, the plot pace, the animation, the magical girl theme... feels like a series for kids.

Episode 7 is out

I'm not surprised at how the girls reacted to the revelation. The idea of even becoming a Scooper in this series sounds creepy.

Probably the most serious episode yet in this show so far.

Mari takes this the hardest given by how she reacted. Felt like they added a lot of psychology into this episode rather than the usual straightforward action.

I knew something was up, but that was still a neat way to reveal the situation. It was very odd how the bested Scoopers turned into sweets. Even weirder is how the girls accepted it and just ate the Scooper sweets. For that to turn into a plot point was satisfying.

Kotoko and, especially, Mari took the news really hard. Seeing the two of them gorge on the Scooper sweets at the end was disturbing. I am curious if Mari was hallucinating at various parts. When they activate Urahara, didn't the girls always fight the Scoopers on an alternate dimension? Seems like the fights in this episode were in the regular dimension.

Things look really bleak for Rito. I'm curious as to how she'll save Mari and Kotoko. Doing it alone is daunting, but perhaps Sayumin can play a bigger role.

Episode 8

Rito's friends have some awkward food carving since the revelation about themselves..

This episode honestly felt a little creepy especially with "Sayumin".

I am impressed by Rito's determination though and not giving into the mind games this episode. DIdn't really feel much for the action as I think this episode tried to deliver its psychological elements. I think this show is starting to improve more but still has an average story.
