Yea, I've been noticing a crop of Saber's close kin in a number of anime this season.

Gotta cash in on that Fate hype-train!

*Actually watches the anime.

This anime felt strange. It does not have quite the atmosphere of a CGDCT show. The visual are nice, but the character interactions and actions are nonsensical and forced, and it fails to characterize any characters due to a noticeable lack of known consistency. There is also the idea where they wanted to allude to several past events and characterized motivations, but it is all communicated to the audience without a hint of subtlety. This confuses me to the intent of the series, if it is a CGDCT show, or one more contingent with a slice of life drama, as fantastical as it is.

The pacing is a bit off for what this series appears to be, blazing through a few days in 22 minutes at breakneck speed, while maintaining a consistent episodic narrative of sorts. The rapid scene changes left me in a wanton desire for more.

The interactions were not charming, but that could change. Having half the staff being complete jerks to our main heroine will do that, as feckless as Kuzu is. She is relatively well meaning and kind, and having that being stomped all over is somewhat infuriating.

I normally do not criticize these types of shows, but as of now, I do not have a cogent clue as to what type of show it wants to be. There is an underlying serious tone throughout this episode.

It does show promise to be more drama oriented of sorts.

Simple, but cute as hell. This could very well be the slice-of-life of the season if it hits the right notes.

Good epsiode but I was getting a Hansuka Iroha vibe from it. Yuzu has a mystery though, Bikuni-sama doesn't seem to be her mother and the fully fox proprietress says she trusts Bikuni since she has brought others before. Who is Bikuni-sama? Why is Yuzu training with her? Where are Yuzu's parents? I will jeep watching this show. I guess I just like "moe trash" and rom-coms and other SoL type shows.

Gorgeous stuff so far. I'm loving both the characters and the environments. Just excellent. Tough to say whether or not they'll have a storyline hook or whether it will just be a character interaction focused good time, but I'm on board either way. Great start.

Oh my god. Dropped.

Like please, give me the time back I wasted watching this LMFAO.

Do you just drop everything? Cause this was really good and relaxing.

Nah, they complain about everything being terrible industry ruining "moe-trash" then claim to waste their time watching things that are obviously going to be "moe-trash" just so they can whine even more about everything being life destroying "moe-trash." It's best to just ignore them.

Oh I see. I guess that...makes no sense for them to watch it, but okay!

Considering all the blood, gore and angst in this season's line-up, a sweet and relaxing SOL is the perfect remedy. Liking the artistry too; the fabric patterns are just lovely.

Wow. Its amazing how pro some people are to over analyze the first episode of a half hour show. You guys have so many points of data to work with for a deep insiteful review of what this show is like and what its going to be.

As for me. It was fun, it worked, it felt natural for its setting. Will watch the first few as always before I get a solid opinion. If it keeps going like this, ill tune in for just a calm feel good show to wind down the day.

Episode 2

Satsuki may be working hard, but that's not going to be enough to get out of Konohanatei, but she is leaving to become a priestess. With Yuzu getting a day off that Satsuki is showing her a good time having been hung over with sake. Satsuki is none too pleased that Ren outed that out to Yuzu. And then Yuzu runs into a girl that is trying to find someone, who happens to be the girl with Satsuki who is also looking for her. That girl with Satsuki wants to make cherry blossoms out of a tree, and they find each other again. And in the end, Satsuki wasn't chosen to be a priestess, but she's determined to work hard to become one someday, so until then it's back to Konohanatei. That was some pretty nice insight into Satsuki's life as she has some pretty high goals after seeing her big sister become a priestess.

Man this show is beautiful and of course cute af. I also realized why I love the animation so much, it's because it's done by Lerche. Kyoani 2.0
