When Amazon frequently puts out their poor quality subs a day or two after it's supposed to come out, it might as well be fansubbed liked a Netflix show. At least fansubs would often better quality and sometimes quicker than if Amazon had those shows. Only reason people usually don't bother subbing an Amazon licensed show is because there's no way of knowing whether or not the official subs would be out by the time they would finish. Regardless, Netflix refusing to simulcast and Amazon making it painfully difficult to access their anime section hurts any show that has the misfortune to end up being on either service exclusively. Just imagine how much more popular Made in Abyss or Fate/Apocrypha for example would be if more people actually had the opportunity to watch them legally as they aired.

Netflix already has Violet Evergarden for next season so the only real problem left to look out for would be Amazon. I hope they don't get as many hyped up shows as they did in Spring and Summer.

The issue with their subs is that their player just isn't equipped to handle the kind of subbing required for anime shows. It was designed for close captioning of American stuff and as such, it can only handle one subtitle at a time and appear only on the bottom of the screen. That's problematic for on-screen text and situations where multiple characters are speaking at a time. At least Sentai found a viable solution by hard-subbing the on-screen text.

Anyway, the fixes are pretty simple and I wonder what it is that's keeping Netflix from doing simulcasts or Amazon from offering a stand-alone subscription. These are definitely things that will increase their profit margins with Netflix able to get people to stay subscribed rather than just one month out of three, while Amazon will get lots of money from those who just want Anime Strike and are balking at getting a Prime subscription.

The thing I don't understand for Netflix is that they already have shows that come out on a weekly basis. Even if they want to do the dub, Funi manages to release dubs with only a minor delay.

Cardcapter Sakura? Did not see that coming.

I guess I'll have to rewatch the series to remember what the hell happened.

That was announced about a year ago, but it definitely is the face of Clamp. After all, the two leads in that show are also the leads in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. What I'm amazed is that the entire staff is coming back seeing that Madhouse seems to be allergic to sequels having given the Mahouka movie to 8-Bit and the One Punch Man sequel to J.C. Staff instead of doing it themselves.

Anyway, I'm expecting to see a bidding war take place for this show and it wouldn't surprise me if Amazon ends up with it as they can buy just about anything and everybody who licensed the original series at some point are no longer in the anime business.

Itou Junji?!

Please get this, CR, please please please. Don't leave the first really exciting horror anime I've seen come out in a LONG time to be ruined by some lesser service.

I honestly forgot that the next season of Seven Deadly Sins is coming out next season. I was out of town when it was announced so I missed all the announcement hype. I am really excited for it though.

I am also really excited for the next season of Overlord. That show was not perfect, but I still enjoyed it and I can't wait to see what happens next.

As far as new seasons, I will probably check out How to Raise a Mummy, Death March to Parallel World Rhapsody (even though it probably won't be that good. Just saying based off the manga, which is fine but mediocre) and Records of Grancest War.. This list will probably change as the season starts.

Also, it genuinely makes me mad that a show that are not that great such as The Silver Guardian can get another season but the astronomical amount of amazing unfinished shows do not. (Please, just give me a third season of Spice and Wolf already)
