No, you have to be give the choice to be productive and turn it down in order to be truly lazy.

If you're basically under house arrest, then it's really just you lying around in your prison cell. And anyway, any true lazy person wouldn't like that house arrest scenario even if they did get to belay on the couch all day, because your captors could radically change that at any moment and put you to work.

And I'm pretty sure the "Blu-ray vs. Digital" debate pretty well solves the question over whether lazy people hate new technology...

If I choose to stay home and watch TV, that is just as much exercising my freedoms as any other course of action.
