Episode 1

Cardia sure has it tough there being a girl who is made of poison and is forced to live in isolation because of that. On top of that, those British army goons are trying to use her as a tool. But in comes Lupin as he's out to steal her heart, in more than one way as not only does he want to win her heart, but she's also taking that heart-shaped crystal so that nobody else can have her. I really like what I'm seeing so far here as often times otoge adaptations are stinkers. However, this one appears to be much different and so far, the difference is what makes it interesting as I'm tired of seeing girls making mind-numbingly dumb decisions and boys doing nothing but lust or abuse her. I don't get that vibe from this show as Cardia is just not that type of girl as she is fully aware of her situation.

Wait, a pretty-boy show is allowed to have a plot other than just splashing pretty boys on the screen one after the other? And it's making liberal use of steam-punk and Victorian mythos? Definitely worth watching at least another episode or two to see how this pans out.

The start felt rather generic and I hope Cardia gets over her "parrot syndrome" quickly however I love the character designs, the voice acting is actually better than the plot of the first episode deserved, and I'm a sucker for steam-punk/Victorian worlds so looks like I'm on-board.

Anyone played the game before?

It seems okay with an interesting setting. Cardia obviously has a special case disease and I guess this anime will explore more of her relationships with the other guys.

I actually enjoyed this more than I expected to. Generally I'm always somewhat leery of animes that use well known fictional characters, since it just hurts to see those characters abused. And before anyone asks it isn't just anime I have issue with doing this. So if any media genre is going to use a well known character it either has to do it well or have something else it does well despite a little abuse. To me this anime falls into the second category. Somehow it mixes typical anime tropes and Victorian steampunk comes up with something that for the moment seems to promise great entertainment.

Hmm interesting, pretty well animated, intriguing story, I guess I'll see. Though I was really expecting a strum of a guitar and Usagi with hearts for eyes proclaiming "Tuxedo Kamen-sama!" when Lupin showed up.

This looks interesting. I like the steam punk atomosphere. Anime based on Otome games have in the past left me cold but for a first episode this seems okay.

This one kinda felt stale. Cardia feels like a dry character with her personality being a concept I've grown tired of. But I mean, I did like the steampunk setting and Cardia looks very pretty, so there's that.

I plan on giving it more of a try to see where it goes. Also, I just REALIZED (I'm sorry) Cardia might be voiced my Saori Hayami, I think. Don't quote me on that if I'm wrong, lol.

Great setting and I would think that Cardia will change as time passes now that she isn't alone.

Seems clear they're trying to set up a romance, but it seems cruel as Cardia can barely come in contact with anything living without the chance of a death.

I did! It's definitely of higher quality than most otome VNs out there (that are available in NA). It focuses more on the story and growth of the heroine rather than being just a romance game from the getgo. The romance is gradual between Cardia and the guys, and builds up at a believable pace after they have genuine and meaningful interactions with one another.

I'd say the first episode did pretty well with its adaptation of the game's prologue! I was apprehensive but came out of it pretty pleased. Of course they'll end up having to condense a lot of the game's information into 12 episodes so I'm kind of curious if they're going to take this all the way to the end or... do what most otome anime do and have an open ending.

Cardia's also my favorite otome heroine and hopefully the anime will be able to show why she's so awesome despite how she currently seems. ^^

I liked it. I'll give it a few more episodes to see where it goes, but overall...I might be into this one.

Already in LOVE with the character art, that's for sure.

Episode 2

And here comes Saint as he's the owner of the mansion Cardia is staying at, while the one who ordered Cardia to be captured is Finis. The truth about the horologium is explained as it's the source of the poison, and also it is what is keeping her alive. Cardia is brought into London as the boys are out to stop a terrorist attack by Twilight. And they get cornered by Van Hellsing, who is a former member of Twilight, and it turns out that he's trying to hunt down Finis and needs Cardia to make that happen. While he was quite hesitant at first, Van Hellsing accepts the offer to work together to take down Twilight as they have the same goal, but just don't have the manpower to do it. That was quite the introduction that Van Helsing got there as he just doesn't realize what Lupin was thinking, all while Finis is full of questions. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

Now that the full cast of pretty boys is introduced, maybe the plot will unfold next week.

I don't understand... In the breakfast scene, they talked about the need to lay low and gather information. Later on the episode, they completely disregard that notion and head to town. They're not even trying to blend in but go in their full (showy) attire. On the plus side, they did gain a new ally.

It's understandable due to her isolation, but I hope Cardia doesn't stay so docile for the rest of the series.
