That fox bit at the start just screams Chekhov's gun and little else. Seemed fairly pointless for that to play out as quickly as it did. The middle of the episode was lovely but then, guess what, another cliffhanger with Chise in peril again.

The wonder bit with the werefox was definitely necessary to ease into the metric ton of feels from the Leannan Sidhe.

The Leannan Sidhe story is one of my favorites and I was worried that the emotional impact would be missing since i’ve Read the manga and knows what;s gonna happen. Turns out hearing their voices and the Leannan Sidhe’s heart wrenching cries was more than sufficient to get the tear ducts working.

Since Elias has kept it I wouldn't be surprised if it pops up again.

A very emotional episode. I hope when my time comes I can face that fear with a gentle smile.

Personally I felt it was lame an contrived at how they have a REALLY interesting ending to the previous episode only to wipe it away with .. oh this is just a joke-toy thing that she can use whenever she wants to run and feel "free"

Now with the bad out of the way, the rest of the episode was quite good. I could only help but feel for Leannan Sidhe. I hope she's still around later on in the show and learns to deal with her heartbreak and sadness. Lord knows she has plenty of time.

I also like how Elias complained about not liking to be cold. It's just another little tiny insignificant thing that shows he at least has a bit of a human side to him.

But, WTF is up with these cliffhanger endings? Getting overused and frustrating.

Well that was completely heartbreaking. The episode examines all sorts of things like death and loss in a really beautiful way. The Leannan Sidhe has to confront her very nature in a touching way, Nobody who falls in love with a Leannan Sidhe lasts very long and even if she loves them she'll consume their life if they love her. Really touching end for the two when he confesses he knew she was taking his life and he's fine with that.

I guess next week Chise has to find out the punishment for using forbidden items on humans.

Finally all caught up, gawd, Chises story never ceases to amaze me...the amount of hurt she must go through feeling that she hurt entire family, driving her dad and little bother away and her mother to suicide. Gah that hurts, so much.

Its weird trying to wrap my head around her stability, she has her issues but its not the lvl it should be with how life as broken...I guess you just get cold to it over time...:(

Huh anticlimactic...so does this mean we don't get to see Ms sexy vampire anymore? Disappointing...so why did the old guy turn to dust? Because of her?

Yeah, she was sort of a Celtic succubus in a way. Because he fell in love with her and devoted himself to her, she inspired him but also drained his life.
