This is without a doubt the most surprising show atm. This is majestic. I am blown away at some of the scenes I am witnessing in CG. Especially, the color usage. Holy shit! I would love to sit in class for a day with the dude that did the colors. Then, the creativity on the entire world/story is a really excellent idea. I am 100% on board with this. Absolute shame Amazon Strike has this. This is excellent stuff peeps are missing out on

This anime is still keeping me absolutely enthralled. Just so tragic that it isn't being appreciated more. I'm so enjoying the wonderful quirky and original story and worldbuilding that is such a breath of fresh air. The colors are a pure feast for the eyes. Against all that I don't care about CG. It simply doesn't detract enough to matter.

She really melted . It's kind of obvious that she's not going to die but how are they going to repair her? (I'm aware that they're actually genderless, using "she" or "he" just makes it easier to write about it)

At least for now it's one of my favourites this season.
I like the animation. The art/design goes pretty well with the CGI animation and the colours are amazing (I would've preferred a slightly darker colour scheme but that's just my personal taste). I'm glad to see that more and more animation studios finally understand how important a good colour scheme is when it comes to CGI.

Episode 3

That snail was quite a lot of trouble to deal with, but defeating it was as simple as throwing saltwater on it. While it might be acidic, it's still just like a snail in that it can't stand salt. So that snail has been reduced to a tiny little creature that Dia carries around. Bort is being cold as usual, but at least she's putting up with Dia's foolishness there so that she could have her way. So after hauling in the shell and extracting all the colored pieces within its shell, Phos is rebuilt and brought back to life again. Next time, Dia's pet is out to cause a lot of crazy things to go down around the joint.

This show is just absolutely gorgeous.

ep3 was beautiful.

Not to be too punny, but this show is a real gem this season.

I am seriously contemplating the manga. The art in it is phenomenal and the covers are gorgeous too.

I'm really glad I gave this show a chance.

That opening action scene was one of the best I've seen in a long time, and Dia sprinting back to the capital with slug-Phos was nearly as good.

Such an excellent show that deserves so much more hype than it's getting.

Dia's run through the swamp forest was some great animation, well choreographed.

Phos seems more abrasive than before. Wonder if all her good qualities ended up in the slug.

Episode 4

Phos asks for a favor and is soundly turned down for Kongo seeing that she needs to do the task at hand. So Phos goes down to the bottom of the ocean with that slug, whose true form is that of a jellyfish. The two talk about the past and they are getting along quite well. But of course, Phos is known for being reckless, and that got her into trouble as show she comes under attack not realizing the situation. Things sure did turn just like that as Phos isn't exactly someone who thinks before she acts.

Good stuff. Lot of interesting things this episode. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I do wonder if the CGI is turning people off from this show (besides it being on Strike). It's nothing jarring and has helped the series pull off some really nice action.

Once again just purely gorgeous. If people aren't watching because of CG not only are they missing out, but also hypocritical imho. I know how many people went gaga for Kemono Friends... Don't lie. You know you did.

Bottom line, watch this show.

Really interesting story and world building this episode. It would be easy to call Phos a bit of an idiot for taking so many risks but it's clear why she acts that way.

As for the CG question, it's tough to say. There certainly doesn't seem to be a lot of buzz around this series anywhere I've seen but that might just be where it's being strreamed as much as people being all "Ewwww CG." Maybe it's one, maybe it's the other, maybe it's a combination of both. That said, more people should be watching and talking about this show. Period.
