I'm not sure. It started out as a slice of life, but the weird magical elements and the constant use of tropes with characters make it feel incredibly odd. I liked the conversation between the mc and the ojou about anime, and watching her freeze back into her persona when she realized the mc wasn't an otaku was neat, but then they had her summoning Sebas every two seconds. Makes for an odd feel to the anime.

Anyone think it was rude of rich girl not to offer MC a ride home? Seems the polite thing to do after asking her to stay after school and join your club.

Why did I watch it?

Why did I enjoy it so much?

Seeems like it's going to be an X+Y show, but it's not clear what the Y is yet.

She left her butler behind.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought it I would. I only planned on watching it because Anju Inami (Chika Takami's VA from Love Live! Sunshine!!) was in it, although her character hasn't really made much of an appearance yet.
Part of me just absolutely loved all of the references they put in (I didn't expect so many). The main characters weren't really anything special (though I'm glad the rich girl isn't too big of a tsundere). And I want to see where this is going, especially with that talking cat.

I really enjoyed this one. There was something about it that felt kind of retro... or throwbacky... if that makes sense?

The main cast all seem interesting too and I look froward to seeing how it progresses and we get to know more about them all.

The ED is really nice too.

I think I'll like this one quite a bit.

I actually think it's just a combination of Mechas. Macross does the singing thing, but the robot the guy is piloting isn't like anything in Macross. The robot actually looks like the robot from Rah Xephon, and the Girl in the anime seems like she's modeled after Nadia from Fushigi no Umi no Nadia. Except then she proceeds to do a sailor moon type transformation which kind of makes her look like a cross between Minmei and Chibiusa. The final scene I think is from the Dog of Flanders.

Episode 2

To recruit new members, Arisu goes into full Haruhi mode (along with a similar theme song to match) getting Minoa to wear the bunny girl outfit just like with what Haruhi did with Mikuru. Kouenji decides to join, who loves to read, and so does the gal Erika. Erika then gets the chuunibyou Kaikai to join. Arisu and Kouenji have a disagreement over a show omitting stuff from a light novel and Kouenji threatens to leave over it, but Minoa talks her out of leaving. And then the last required member joins in Nakano, who is popular with the girls and an hardcore otaku. They got their members, but now they encounter a problem with the student council is telling them they can't use the clubroom. So with that, the club has assembled, and the references continue to be pretty amusing.

There's actually quite a lot of anime references in this show.

Episode 2's "Ru-Zero" was probably the most recognizable though. Regarding the humor, I feel like it's a hit or miss. Minoa is still cute to watch.

Damn Sebas got down and funky

Glad we didn't spend that much time getting each member. The anime club is complete with a new anime fan, anime only fan, LN fan, cosplay fan, a chunni, and an idol fan.

So it seems all the main cast's character designs are based off of popular anime characters in their respective genre's. Since Minoa has Haruhi's yellow ribbons and given the odd reference is Ep1 as well as that brief reaction shot from her father is she possibly the cause of the "end of the world" mentioned in the series' description?

Also, did the studio spend all it's money on animating the humans and they could only afford to create simple animal characters? That fish actually made me giggle it was so silly looking.
