Without a doubt the world is strange, being only 16 makes me a person vulnerable to many different forms of information and easily influenced by such things. Last year I was went through a breakup (no I'm not sad ,_,)
And without a doubt that struck me hard. But I felt no hate nor malice, yet at the same time after months I do not know what was ideal happiness. I started to wonder for a while, what do we define as happiness? I felt like I forgot about it but I wasn't sad, but I wasn't excited. I was just living life after it.

Food? Fishing? Outdoor exploration? Anime? Video Games? Love?

Are you always happy? Were you raised to be a happy person? Did you make yourself happy alone? Or did someone help you become happy?

Not always. Isn't everyone to an extent? At times I make myself happy and at other times others make me happy.

Happiness is defined differently for every person.

Early this year my dad passed away and my family believed I was taking his death okay but really I just had to continue on living. Any happy memory I had of my dad brought me down tremendously because I knew I would never have new moments with my dad. While this seems quite depressing I think I have found my happiness in the people who supported me after my dad's death. I enjoy the company of one particular friend who genuinely makes me laugh and feel happy, and she always has my back.

Happiness is contentment and connection. To no longer worry about basic needs so one can focus on enjoying life and making the most of the time we have here and loving connections to join us with it.

Taking long cruising rides on my motorcycle.

For me it is one of the most relaxing things I do. Once I get away from all the idiot drivers, I can just enjoy the ride. I especially love long winding mountain roads.

For me it's simple. Just being with my family. I spent yesterday playing video games with my daughter, then I took her to get ice cream. We came back home and jumped in the pool and I enjoyed a cold beer while lounging in my floaty. Picture perfect day and I was super happy.

Reading books. I like Classics. I think it's because it helps me unwind and puts my mind in a different place.

Every man dreams his own heaven
My happiness is not your happiness.

Though if I may give advice, try to make it as broad as possible. Finding and focusing on specific tasks that make you happy is great. What is even better is finding what about them makes you happy and then finding the same everywhere else.

I will say I like stories and a good challenge, which are already fairly nebulous. But then I can craft them to encompass so many things. The second is really just the first and while learning may to an outsider seem it's own source of enjoyment for me, it too is really just an extension of the first.
