Not particularly, I know reasonably well what I like so I tend to narrow down my list to 1-5 shows before the season starts, and usually find them enjoyable enough to stick through.
And I find it's not so much intentionally dropping and more them just falling off, IBO and G-reco, I just forgot to watch episodes 8ish and 23ish respectively, and that was it. I probably will finish G-reco if Gundam info uploads it. The closest to an intentional drop was with SAO, the first arc had finished and I gave the first episode of the fairy one a go, but it didn't click so I decided that SAO was a single season series that ended quite nicely.
Conversely I did stick to Kado right to the end, despite hating the change direction that happened towards the end. But that was less of a case of sunk cost and more of a case of hoping that they may be able to stick the landing. Or so I tell myself.

At the end of the day I am watching anime to enjoy it, any sense of completing some sort of list or even discussing with people is secondary to the question: Am I currently enjoying this show? If No, I won't continue. I am not watching for anyone besides my self, so who should I feel any obligation towards besides myself, continuing a series that I am not enjoying and am unlikely to start watching is a disservice to my self.

It also gives rating to shows that I disapprove of, increasing the likely hood of licensing more of the same, why would I want that?

I drop anime within the first three episodes. I have far too much to do seven days a week to force myself to watch something I don't want to finish. I was considering dropping that new Anime club show, but the little talking dog at the end asked if I didn't drop it after the first episode, so We'll see at ep. 2.

I usually watch through to the end.

I usually give it the 3 episode rule.

If it doesn't pick up after that, I drop it - at which point I pick another to watch.

I don't feel no obligation. Not that I'm an "experienced" anime viewer, but I first and foremost watch for my own enjoyment, and if a show don't appeal to me it don't deserve my time. Some of the shows that've "sounded the alarm bell" right of the bat (within the first episode) I've continued watching to see if they redeemed themselves later on, but it's not happened so far. So I'm pretty content that if I don't like the first episode I probably won't like the show overall.

Does anyone every feel like they have an obligation to finish an anime when they first start it and even though they may not like it, but not finish the anime feels wrong ?

But basically them more you watch it the more you do not want to finish it because either something in the anime is just unbearable. Would you just quit watching it ?

Nope often times I will stop just before the last episode because I hate them ending. Makes me sad. lol

If its so bad that I dont even like it than its REALLY bad, and I just walk away.

I generally try to finish what I start...that said I try to get a good synopsis of the show prior to watching it to be sure it's a good time investment.
Too many darn "read the manga/novel" endings out there

No, nothing is mandatory viewing. I can drop a series any time at episode 1-10 or more if the series is long. I've got other things to do so I won't be wasting time on things I'm no longer interested in or they make me fall asleep watching them.

That obligation is a good way to waste your own time, if you end up hating it.

Same thing as with some others: 3-4 watched and if i still can't get in/don't like it, etc., i drop it. There are few series currently on-hold but recently, i got some energy to start finishing them. Something like sweetness & lightning and Little Witch Academia, just to mention few. Now if only i could continue Shin Sekai Yori. Maybe after the former one but i have to watch it from the beginning since i already have forgot some. Thankfully, i'm currently at episode 6...

Sometimes shows start off good then get bad. Example: The Irregular at Magic High School. I found the first half good, then the last several episodes were terrible. But I'm invested at this point so I stick with it.

I can usually tell in the first episode if I'm going to like a show or not. If I drop it but start hearing good things I might pick it back up.

Ya know, I used to finish them just to finish them, even if they annoyed me more than I enjoyed them, but quality of anime has been slipping over the years...
