Omamori Himari is now available for members in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark. Netherlands.

I wonder if any other series has returned to CR three times.

To explain, CR originally had it as a simulcast, but at the time, Kadokawa had a policy of pulling the titles 30 days after the series finished airing. This was on of the first titles they enforced that for. It later returned around the same time they seemed to rescind that policy, but then went away later before it was licensed by Funimation, and now is back thanks to them.

It is also of interest that Funimation apparently never posted the full series to their own site.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend.

We got another new catalog joining the Crunchyroll family. Three Leaves, Three Colors is now available for members in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark.

Futaba Odagiri is the energetic transfer student who befriends Teru Hayama, the class president who is meaner than she looks, and Youko Nishikawa, a former rich girl who still acts like a princess. Three very different girls who only share one thing: the kanji for leaf in their names. Balancing school and life is hard enough, but what about dealing with clashing personalities on top of it all?

There's an extra "l" on the end of the link for Three Leaves, Three Colors, leading to a 404 page. (I've corrected it in the quote above.)

None of these Funimation titles are likely to include Latin American rights. The Latin American rights coming from the Funimation/Crunchyroll deal show up when Crunchyroll holds Latin American simulcast rights to the series that Funimation is simul-dubbing ... so from new licenses, not from these old licenses that were signed years and years ago.

The basic reason is that Funimation would never ask for Latin American rights (since they are interested first and foremost in getting rights to dub & distribute media, and have no interest in Spanish or Portuguese dubs).

So it would take the Japanese licensor insisting on bundling Latin American rights with the North American rights, and there is no clear evidence that any Japanese licensor acts that way.

Now, we won't know for 100% certain until the last old Funimation catalog title makes its way over to Crunchyroll, but enough have moved over that we have probably seen the various ways that most of the licensors aggregate their territories.

Sometimes Japanese companies have divisions that put "the Americas" together, so and if it splits up international rights among its international divisions, that will result in the original licensor holding "North American" and Latin American rights together (eg, Aniplex, Toei, there's another one whose name escape me, but they are primarily an advertising & media relation firm, and only license anime as a sideline to that) ...
... but they do not seem to insist on bundling the two regions together if the licensee does not ask for it.

NormanicGrav wrote: Regarding the convincing part, it's unfortunately not going to happen. You see, Manga UK is now called Manga Animatsu and they have a different opinion about streaming as a whole. They can't get any Funimation title anymore due to Anime Limited and Universal plus all of the titles they sub-licensed have expired.

The last titles they sub-licensed were from before 2010? I did not know that it was that long ago, thanks.

... Manga also feel that streaming affects the retail sales ...

They are right about that ... while offering legit streams rather than pushing the simulcast audience into watching bootlegs (or into using means that hand the royalty payments to the US licensor) only has a secondary impact, it is likely to have an impact. The problem would be if they labor under the misconception that the impact is negative, when in reality the overall impact is almost certainly positive.

That is, after all, why Funimation persisted with simulcasts even they lost money doing so for over half a decade ... they viewed the promotional benefits as justifying a modest amount of losses ... in addition to expecting that they would eventually see net income as the market matured.

If "Animatsu" (nee MangaUK) mistakenly views it as a net loss, then they would demand streaming royalties that "make up for" the imaginary loss, when in reality any streaming royalties that simply cover transaction costs are a net win, since they are beneficial promotion at no net cost to the physical distributor.

CR had it twice before:

It has been gone since the end of August 2014:

(It is the 4th from the last title listed)

Be forewarned, fellow Danganronpa fans: The episode order for DR3 here on CR is a mess. You need to pick and choose the episodes one by one to see the individual arcs. Otherwise, they are all mashed together.

Also: The Future Arc will probably piss you off. Just be aware of that going into it.

The series was meant to alternate between the two arcs. There are a few times I can think of that if you haven't seen a part in the other you might be confused. That's how it originally aired anyway with the arcs alternating back and forth.
