Well anything sea creature wise can end up in those types of pools. They are basically giant man made rock pools that fed by waves so big waves and a sharky/anything else really that isn't paying attention can easily end up in them.
It was only a baby shark also Port Jackson sharks aren't anywhere near as crabby as lets say a great white.
Also there are plenty of harmless sharks around Australia.
If the lady knew what type of shark it was in another question. lol

I have punched a shark in the nose. Was wade fishing with my grandfather and the damn shark wanted the fish on my belt. Gave him a good punch to the nose and he left.

Most sharks wont actively hunt humans and bite out of sheer confusion (Oh look, a seal!). Also, just turn a shark upside down. It will fall into a "coma." Easy to pick it up then. Well, only works on certain sharks. Try your luck! I think its called tonic immobility or something?

Edit: Put your picture in a quote OP. It will not fall out of the page that way. Like this (copy if you want):

I love Port Jackson sharks, they aren't known to be particularly dangerous to humans.

yep most sharks don't hunt humans apparently because we taste bad to them they just mix us up with seals sometimes. also yep turning them upside down can cause them to faint plus some killer whales know of this and uses it as a tactic to hunt sharks
