Episode 26

So just like with Rei, Hina was being bullied, but for a far different reason. It turns out that she's being bullied in Chiho's place as they became friends, and then Chiho moved away leaving Hina all alone. Hina just couldn't stand those girls badmouthing Chiho, so she got aggressive and ended up in that sad shape. And thus, Hina's cheerful facade was broken and her true, insecure self is on full display. That was quite a bombshell that was dropped just like that, though Rei realized what kind of girl she is as he had seen her crying before. So after a trip to the library a home-cooked meal with grandfather is exactly what she needs. Way to go, grandpa, for letting Hina know that what she did was the right thing.

Right in the feeeeels~!

Yeah, great episode. Glad dickface Gouda isn't anywhere to be seen after his dumb episode.

Poor Hina. She done good. Now hopefully Rei can think of a way to help her out.

One thing I didn't understand at first was why Rei was so touched by her, but realized it was because her strength to stand up for someone who needed her was something he had wanted for a long time. Seeing that Hina was helping someone in a similar situation to him made him happy.

This episode is tough to watch especially if you have kids really well written and I can understand how hard it was for Hina to stand up to the bullies but hopefully a solution will happen her Teacher needs to listen to Hinas plea things might get worse if Hina is next target?

Excellent episode and I really do hope we'll be seeing more of this storyline. Just going back to Shogi right after this is going to feel like a poor turn around. There was some absolutely gorgeous artwork in this episode too. If this episode didn't make you feel something then you've got problems.

Damn, I knew bullying would be a social issue that would be explored in this franchise/season but that was quite an emotional episode.

The feels were raging in this episode.

Aside from Rei emotionally supporting Hina in his own way, I'm real glad that the grandfather acknowledged her stance for defending her friend. It was the right nudge to be proud of her actions.

Hina needs a big hug. I felt what Rei felt for a bit about going after them and tearing them limb from limb.

I think the anime did a good job with that sequence. It's a little more developed over the manga's version.

I agree, the anime did an excellent job in adapting these chapters but when I first read these parts, I wondered when they were going to show it.
I cant wait for the next episode becuase the resolution to this happens next .

I really love this series with the high quality animation and wonderful story and characters. Is in my collection list

Great episode. I really liked how they dealt with the material. At the same time I couldn't stop my self from seething with anger when watching the parts with the bullies; seriously made be want to bitch slap all of those girls and that teacher.

Man, this episode was a 10/10

To capture something very relatable to me and portray it in such well-directed fashion is sure to bring my attention. From Hina being bullied to how her family comforts her to how Rei reacts to it and then the tears; oh-god. Grandpa was great too.

I love how the atmosphere changed with the tone-shifting too and only added to the impact of whatever situation was taking place. Whoever is directing Sangatsu is a genius and no, I'm not talking about Shinbo either. I'll remember this episode for a long time to come.

I am bawling right now.

Decided to watch this before my morning shower. Glad I did.

Just absolutely beautiful.

This show is about as perfect as you can get right now.

I just want to hug them all so much.

Fuck... I'm about to go out and buy the books.
