Anytime people push societal ideals onto others - religion, sexuality, marriage, having children - and imply that those who don't subscribe to said ideals are undesirable, corrupt, impure, etc.

Friends or family. Both? I know how you feel.

Everything SJW. I rarely watch regular tv these days, and the few times I try to pick up a series, it is polluted with SJW propaganda. Like Star Trek Discovery, was excited for a new trek! Then I saw the first two episodes, filled with SJ, bad acting, and canon rewriting, all thrown down my throat. Those aren't klingons, that was an ensign not a first officer, the tech is too advanced, just call it something else and it might be slightly better....though still not as good as the orville.

So, yea....How bout dat? You know what I'm sayin?

"Smile." "Chill out." "Relax."

It'd be one thing if I was honestly pissed off or something, but folks only say such things to me when I'm in a pretty chill mood. Well, "chill" until they have the gall to utter those words, and worse when they are downright pushy and repeated demand that I "smile." Kind of ironic; that assumptions guarantee that I become as pissy as they mistakenly thought I was. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

"What are you doing this weekend?"

Literally nothing. I'm doing nothing. How am I supposed to tell you that? Do I lie? Do I think of something stupid to do on the spot just so I don't have to say "nothing"? My life is a dumpster fire. Ask me again when I'm dead.

"Take it as a compliment, you look so young!"
"You'll appreciate it when you get to my age"

Honestly, I get that I don't look my age, and I don't get that bothered when the person I've just met thinks I'm like 14 or something. That's cool, just don't bring it up again if you think I'll get offended. I remember one person telling me to take it as a compliment (and bringing it up in the conversation about 3 times), and it just pissed me off because they seemed to think it offended me but kept bringing it back up? Why on earth would you do that when you think you've made me mad? Not to mention she almost hugged me so I was about to elbow her because I absolutely fucking HATE hugs most of the time (this was probably the real reason I was mad). This woman was an acquaintance of an acquaintance, who I probably won't see in a long time though, thankfully.

I'm so used to people saying that I don't look my age, and I don't mind if people (jokingly) poke fun at it. What I do mind, however, is people telling me how I should feel about that. Why should I have to be grateful that I look like I'm 13? Why is it a good thing that I look so young? I honestly sometimes hate how young I look.

Don't you want to get married? (I don't want to.)

Don't you want children? (No.) OR When are you going to give your mother some grandchildren? (My mother already has three and we love them very much. BTW my mother has NEVER asked me this.)

The above question is usually followed by: You'll change your mind when you're [insert age here]. (People have been saying this to me since I was thirteen. I'm 34 going on 35 now. Take a hint.)

Why don't you just quit and get a new job? (Who the hell is going to pay my bills while I'm out getting this new job?)

It's just projection on how those people feel at their age. Though I do find it as a compliment whenever I'm carded at my age.

Yeah, I had older women complimenting me on my curls all the time when I let my hair grow out, it gets old pretty quick.
