ASSASSIN’S CREED® ORIGINS IS A NEW BEGINNING Ancient Egypt, a land of majesty and intrigue, is disappearing in a ruthless fight for power.

Coming out later this month. I'm considering getting this for Steam after seeing all the trailers and features. I play Assassin Creed games on my ioS but never on the PC before.

I'll pass. I got burned out on Assassin's Creed games with Syndicate. I couldn't even play the Jack the Ripper DLC. I enjoyed it, I liked the Victorian London setting and the twins, but I've had enough for now.

Depends for me. If it shakes things up just enough and maybe fixes the some of the same damn problems that the series has had since the very first game, then maybe I'll check it out.... later.

Never played any of them. Although this one has an interesting setting, i'll pass. I'll just have to wander, how much they can make of these. Not that i have anything against that. Well, not as much as CoD.

Haven't bought/played an AC game since AC 3 but I'm definitely interested in buying this one. It looks amazing.

I played quite a bit over the weekend of this game. I didn't finish Syndicate or Rogue (just couldn't play it after Unity's improvements), but I've played through all of the other games, and I'm confident I'll finish Origins too. So far, it has been very enjoyable to play and the combat feels refreshed and refined again. The gameplay mechanics in general are pretty solid and the interactions with the environment you can do can be impressive at times (the kind that are like "I doubt they'd put the effort into making this.... wow, that worked").

The environments are very diverse, but blend together seamlessly with some solid quests scattered between. I've been avoiding the main story line (as I usually do) so I can't speak too much for that.

If you enjoy third person action adventures (with some extra light RPG elements), the game has quite a bit to offer. The pre-order bonuses are pretty OP though.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm playing this on PC with a PS4 controller. The only thing I haven't liked about the control scheme is the photo mode which I periodically enter on accident during panic-mode combat. Otherwise, at fully maxed out settings I'm getting 60+ in most areas besides Alexandria (dipping to the low 30s). I haven't updated my drivers though (then again, SLI 1080Ti's...).

I hear you pets cats for a living, but otherwise AssCreeOrig doesn't really interest me. Syndicate was great, except for all of Girl Power's missions. Black Flag was great, except for actually playing the missions. AssCreeIII, II, and Brotherhood were great, except for Desmond "Not Really Useful as a Person" Miles and his screwed up family. AssCree, the first, was probably the only one I ever finished, because it was really railroading you into the end.

I love the good old AC game such as AC2,Brotherhood,Revelation,3
AC4 is kinda good but not my style ;(
Since the AC Unity came out in 2014 i stopped playing this game until AC Origin came out 4 days ago
And trust me dawg this game is not bad compare to Syndicate and Unity.

I was thinking of picking it up on PC seeiong as things seem a bit more positive this time around.......... but I hear the anti-piracy shit the game comes loaded with is actually hurting performance???

I was actually just reading about that on Kotaku a bit ago, but I can't say I've noticed it being an issue. Again, I'm running everything at max settings so I expect some performance hits here and there. I did update my drivers yesterday (haven't played it after updating though), but I won't be able to play until tomorrow to see what my CPU is up to.

That said, yes, the game has DRM and you have to agree to its terms of use before you can start the game. My game has yet to crash as well, or soft lock (which both Unity and Syndicate did).

For CPU, I have an Intel 3770K (running at stock speeds because I'm terrible).

If you play it on PC, note: the game requires a video card with at least 3GB of VRAM when playing at a full HD resolution.

I beat the main story recently and will probably finish up a few achievements before I move on to the next game.

It's a pretty good game tbh, probably the most beautiful Open World game I've played in 2017. So much to explore. So much to do. It feels like the world is very alive and every aspect of it has my interest. The side quests are also thought provoking and while some of them feels the same, almost every one of them feels important.

Only part I have a problem with is the combat system. A bit repetitive and sometimes, it feels glitchy. I also don't like the Hippodrome races much.
