3.5, could be worse as far as part time sous chef positions go. Being a full time student definitely makes the stress higher though.

My work has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau in the US. The company is easily 5 stars. They care about the employees, give us good pay, fight for us to get the best benefits like health, dental, and vision insurance. We even get a free gym to use and massages twice a month. The work itself is not fun at all, but the company takes care of us.

Like the same person above, the work isn’t all that great but the company does take care of us. Getting benefits, bonuses, doing weekly events, free breakfast/lunches, very clean workspaces...etc. Also, my coworkers are nice, and manager is okay. But this company gets a lot of bad reviews from past employees. So far, the only negative thing I’ve experienced from this place is the work itself especially when the Team Leader would pressure us.

Overall, I’d give it a 2 out of 5 stars.

3.5-4.0

Benefits are alright but that has only recently changed.
I now get health insurance and vision insurance for $90 a month (5 free doctor visits, no referrals required for specialists, and OOP maximum of $6,850 is pretty good).
Salary is pretty decent for my position $280,000 as a Product Manager).
Company culture is where it loses some points, as the company is locked into a war with itself.
It also doesn't help that it's mostly men who made sexist jokes until we hired two females (now they haven't a clue what to do with themselves).

The drama, the company culture, and the internal politics are where the company I work for loses points.

2 years ago? 4/5
Left got a better job which I'd rate 5/5 sweet couple who ran a company for a long time together but got bought out by the next company who I transferred to...3/5.They were nice but it was too small of a place to take on the amount of customers that they inherited.
That job fell through and went back to same job as 2 years ago. Now? 1/5. We've had unusable AC...ALL THROUGH THE SUMMER. Mind you, the summers were so hot our chocolate melted throughout the entire store, and our uniforms are you guess it...black. And the company refused to treat it as a critical problem with MANY young children and older people with medical problems that came in and immediately would start sweating. Finally fix it in OCTOBER (even though they didn't, just put AC in stock room like that's going to freaking help anything..)and break our Heat right before winter. So now we're all freezing in there. Lights are out outside so at night you can't see creepers lurking, employees don't want to do their jobs because the responsibilites are too much very often, managers work often open to close. My assistant manager worked so much, honestly I don't even know when she had time to go home to spend with her family. Gives way too much work for the amount of time you have during the day and still expect it to be done with immense foot traffic in the door and only 2 people working nights. If you think you have 2 days scheduled off? Your wrong. Be expected to be called in the middle of whatever your doing to come in and cover someone elses shift, especially if your a manager. Even if you aren't in town, best believe you will have to drive back, take a write up or lose your job.

To no fault of the managers working there now, its corporate that is causing all this fuss. I stay for my bosses because they try their heart out to appreciate us and we're like family. The customers are usually very sweet and always tell us to keep our heads up. Its those reasons why I stay. Perks of living in a small town I suppose.

too few employees to warrant a rating...

I'd give it a 3 our of 5 though. Seasonality and hours suck, Benefits are good, pay is decent to ok, but I hate being at work by 6:30am every day and I hate how it's gogogo for 3/4 of the year, and then it's just me working in the office, struggling to justify keeping my lonely ass employed for 3 months till spring cause there's no work... (I do office work for a seasonal business)....

It's also winter right now, so it's a little nerve wracking.

So again, overall, no complaints, except for the nature of the business's industry.

I'm a self-employed professional book reviewer and a beta reader that specialises in diverse Asian literature for numerous publishers. So, I get to read books and help authors polish/edit them up prior to release. Since I can create my own schedules, work at my own pace, and overall choose which authors/publishers I wanna work with, I'd say my job is 5-stars. It does have its bad days, but overall, I can't complain.

3.5/5

Eh, yeah it's a fast food restaurant and yeah it's not meant to be a permanent job, but I do all the physically exhausting day-to-day maintenance and put up the truck when it comes in and I get paid the same minimum wage as everyone else who works there. I think that's bullshit. I also think that my hours being about as stable as white phosphorous since the general manager wants a bonus for not using up labor is bullshit. Man I hate the general manager. Other managers and other people who work there are pretty chill though.
