No way. It's fairly mediocre at this point. The animation looks nice though.

No, Boruto's just okay. If I had to name any show the new king of shounen it would probably be Boku no Hero Acaedmia.

Yeah this guy nailed it. Though, trying to name something as the "new king of shounen" is just silly in the first place. I laughed when I first saw it on the front page of Crunchyroll before the anime even aired. I actually like the manga quite a bit, but giving it a title like that is a bit much, and with how the anime turned out it's even funnier.

But yeah I would definitely say Boku no Hero Academia is the best mainstream shonen to come out in recent years by far.

No. Instead, it's mockingly referred to as "a poor man's Naruto," and a certain lead male's Japanese voice is notorious for how obnoxious it is. Boku no Hero Academia has a significantly more positive reception, along with a few others. It seems that Black Clover's similarities to a certain few shows, whilst not standing out enough, is holding it back.

I think Black Clover has the potential to be the "king" of shounen while i can see boku nor hero falling off the big spot its in season 3 or four (if it gets that far) but black clover is different from most shounens, same with boku no hero but in a different way, in boku no hero you know when midorya will win or not. In black clover its hard to tell if asta will win or lose. in most cases of shounen the main character wins majority of the time if not all the time. (except DBZ cause goku is dead half the damn time) even though in black clover asta does win a lot of the time its very suspenseful and nerve racking because you don't really know if he will win. while in boku no hero its very apparent he'll win or lose, the hero games for example when he lost, another reason black clover is different is asta has a real goal he's trying to work for even with all the doubt and hate around him. he wants to be something no one else is even trying to do, sure people want to be the emperor but they aren't trying to become it, asta never stops trying to become the emperor no mater what. but with boku no hero midorya wants to be the #1 hero, something EVERY other hero wants. hes doing the same thing as everyone else, trying to be the best hero. asta is doing something people are afraid to even attempt. i could go on and on on this but ill rest my case here for now.

Boku No Hero Academia blows the Naruto bunshin out of the water.

Not by a longshot. That title goes to My Hero Academia, and heck it's not even better than Naruto for that matter. If it were a long series like Naruto, then maybe it will be considered. But it's far from being king.

Others have already said it, but Boku no Hero Academia is easily one of the most loved shonen series in years and it's still going to continue for a long time, most likely until the manga is finished since Bones clearly puts a ton of effort into it. Black Clover on the other hand was hyped to oblivion by Crunchyroll and I believe its publisher also. And yet it's already got a terrible reputation for stretching out the manga to the point where it took 4 episodes just to reach the second chapter of the manga and of course the cancerous MC's yelling has pretty much become a meme at this point. It has a long way to go before it can be called king of anything other than king of annoying protagonists. Even that show about Naruto's son gets less criticism than Black Clover from what I've seen.

I'll believe it when I see it still going strong 20 years from now.

@kufirst beat me to the punch to post a One Piece gif, since I had to figure out how to set up my Username, but I'll finish my post regardless!

There's only one King that I follow, and that's Monkey D. Luffy

But on a serious not, I follow Black Clover's manga as well, and I'm sure it'll do just fine. Whether or not it should take the title of "King" is a whole other task that I don't think it can handle just yet. For me, I still think the manga is trying to establish it's own identity.
