http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/05/mass-shooting-reported-at-texas-sutherland-springs-church.html

At least 20 people are feared dead in Texas after a gunman opened fire at a church outside San Antonio on Sunday, Fox News has learned.

The mass shooting was reported at First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, which is about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio. The gunman has been fatally shot by police, Fox News has confirmed.

Wilson County Commissioner Larry Wiley told Fox News that an emergency responder said between 20 and 24 people are dead, and around 20 were wounded when a man walked into the church about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday and opened fire at the crowd of people.

"It is horrible," Wiley said of the massacre, the motive of which is unknown. "It appears someone walked in and started shooting."

Wiley added he heard children were among those killed.

This is seriously getting old. -_- Anyways, I'm somewhat curious about the motives behind the shooter, though it'll inevitably lead to political finger pointing once we know.

I wonder what was the purpose of this person. insanity? religious purpose? terrorist? prayers to the folks and at least they got the gunman, too bad this also means we won't know the motives right away, we'll have to look into the situation and do some homework. I hope it's nothing more than just a person on an insanity raid and kill/harm these people and nothing more deeper.

It might be another hate related shooting like the last church shooting.

There are some priests/pastors around here started to carry guns. I'm pretty sure there will be people going to church with their gun now a day.

We live in a society that makes guns available to just about anyone. A weapon that allows even a toddler armed with one to be a real threat to an adult.

When have humans ever been peaceful?

available to anyone? I can not get a handgun until i was 21.. You can't buy a gun if you are not a permanent resident/US citizens either.. so.. are you talking about the black market, illegal gun sales, negligence, etc..?

an armed toddler? It's pathetic how they like use an example of bad parenting as the agenda ? if you want to go that route... more children died from poison, drowning, left in hot car, etc.. due to bad parenting so what are you going to do about it? push 1 child per family? people shouldn't have kids until they went through some 6 month parenting class? etc.. ?

or how about the number of vehicle related deaths due to reckless driving by teenagers ?

US is a diverse country which is its strength but also itsweakness...difference in culture/belief values... there will be psychopaths who will think that if you don't see it my way or just i don't like you or whatever they are thinking in their mind decided to go out and kill people using whatever available at their disposal

it doesn't have to be guns-- it can be cars, or materials you can turn into bombs right out of your kitchen (pressure cooker bombs) or hardware stores (pipe bombs), etc..

enough with the agenda pushing bullshit

kind of like this incident -- The suspect cut and stabbed people and was trying to carjack people while an off duty sergeant was just a few cars behind

I don't go to church or want to bring gun to church.. but a family of mind is going to church every Sunday.. so i don't know what to do.. .. go anyway and just be there (too sleep) most likely.. eh.. I'm not into any religion. I guess i'll check a s pot in the back and doze off for 1 hour every Sunday?

I'd honestly be surprised if there wasn't at least one or two members carrying in a church service. I can only speak for my church, naturally, but it's an open secret that multiple members carry concealed firearms. My personal experience has no bearing on this incident, naturally, but I'd be surprised to hear there weren't at least a few members taking responsibility for security of the church grounds. The Nashville church shooting was prevented from getting worse due to church members stopping the suspect, though I don't recall any firearm being used to subdue that particular suspect.

I know a lot of folks who carry guns to church, they typically have them locked in their vehicle and not on them personally, but at least the lone gunman was able to be taken down quickly all the same to stop the chaos. over 20 lives is a great loss who are just gathered to shared similar ideas with their god, they weren't expecting, heck who does, that they would end their life that day as well.
