Knights and magic is not listed as a mecha if you browse by category I'm really confused and I want to know if there's other shows like this in the terms of their not in categories they're supposed to be because I'll be damned if that show isn't a mecha

Knight's & Magic is most definitely mecha. I think some shows in CR are not fully attributed with their respective genres. You could probably contact a site administrator in the cases where a show isn't listing its genre(s) and see if it can be added.

School Days shows up under comedy...so their categorization is rather odd. What comedy ends in gruesome murders?

There are a substantial number of mis-categorized or not fully categorized anime on crunchyroll. They should try to clean it up a little.

I've moved this over to the Site Support/Minor Questions forum. As mentioned, the genre categorization in general seems incomplete and sometimes inaccurate. I'm not sure if things get changed if you point out something in particular, but you would need to contact support directly to report specific oversights or errors as they don't routinely read the forums for this sort of thing.
