I really hate the "where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?"

The older you get, the harder the question is to answer. Usually it's job security, paying bills and gain more life experience. Sometimes its just like well i need something to tide me over until i find something better.

I never seem to know how to answer this question. I can tell my name and age but that's it.

I feel the pain I can never explain when someone says to me "tell me about yourself its just my name and thats about it. I mean what else is a person like us going to share at a job interview, are we going to say "Hi im ___ and im an otaku and I have no life" Hell no

I have torpedoed a few interviews with shitty companies with these one liners.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years from now?

I will be your boss.

What is your biggest weakness?

Kryptonite ( the colour yellow also works)

I don't suffer fools gladly.

Why should we hire you?

What does your company bring to the table above the others I have received offers from?

If you use those one liners you MUST keep a ZFG frame when you reply in order to sell them correctly.

I don't like the questions such as:
Q: Why do you think you'll make a good addition to the team? or Q: By name, from your previous work experience, who was a coworker that you looked up to?

The second one was a real killer considering i actually didn't look up to anyone in particular. We were all private contractors, so we all had the same position in the company.

"Tell me about yourself". Idek myself. My preferences and likes/dislikes etc gradually change.

When you mess up on a multiple choice survey and are asked to explain your answer and it feels tenuous

It's question about future ahead. 5 or 10 years. It's probably perfect idea to scream at interviewer, since we get to taste nukes some time in the future thanks to some orange, funny-haired leader.

For me the question "Where do you see yourself in five or ten years from now" can be a difficult to provide an answer the listener will enjoy hearing.

The quickest answer that appeared in my mind was "to continue providing excellent service to you and this company." The reader will refrain from stealing my job interview response!

Blue Oni Does An Interview Like A True Pro

Why did you choose this job?

I require resources to sustain daily functioning and acquire my preferred comforts. Your posting bears a sufficient offering to accomplish this objective.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years from now?

For an immortal's designs such a short time frame is utterly inconsequential. I may as well ask what you plan to have done between this breath and the next.

So, tell me about yourself.

Who are you to seek to understand a blue demoness, cur? Do you think your feeble mind could even comprehend my nature? Know only that I am here to remind you scuttling insects of your place in the universe...and also to occasionally deliver pizzas to hungry customers.

Why should we hire you?

What folly is this, to presume you have a choice in the matter?
