Hey, So I just wana let u know about this great manga that our sensei ATSUSHI OHKUBU (SOUL EATER) is making. If u have any great thoughts or comments on this manga lets discuss it here on this forum. I'm pretty sure this manga will get anime sooner or later. .I'm pretty happy with this it has everything you want from the shonen manga and good fight scenes
The art is amazing you will love it.

Also Leonardo Burns is my favorite character so far !!

I read a few arcs of this, it was okay. It had some characters with fun powers and an interesting world, but it never explored either much and the plot was bog standard. It's a bit like Black Clover, only giving the minimum story and characterization to get you invested so that it can get to the action more quickly.

The issue is that unlike Black Clover the artwork and fights are just kind of okay. It's a lot like Soul Eater, I find, the art has an interesting style, but it never does anything particularly cool or shocking and while the fights are choreographed well, they don't stick out much. The Fire Humans are not at all interesting antagonists, just a bunch of mindless rabid people who just happen to have fire powers. That's another thing, everyone's powers are based around fire and to the manga's credit, it comes up with some interesting and varied styles for the different characters' fire powers, but it still ends up feeling homogenous after a while, leading to the fights feeling forgettable like I mentioned before. I think the only two that I can really remember at all are the fight between Shinra and the traitor guy with the star motif and the fight between Arthur and the flame human with the arm cannon. And the latter was just a joke fight done for a quick gag. It doesnt help that the fights are short as fuck for whats supposedly the main draw of the series.

I will agree that the story is pretty weak, but I like the characters and the action. The story has been picking up lately which has been good. It's nothing perfect but it has made the manga more enjoyable to read.

I've only read the first 5 or so chapters so far so I can't say much, but so far it seems fairly generic. Still pretty interesting and enjoyable though.

Enjoyable, but generic. Honestly a massive drop off from Soul Eater. They have about the same amount of chapters as of this post, and while fire force has been mostly forgettable, soul eater crafted an incredible world with unique and charismatic characters that's stuck with me every since. Really wish Ohkubo had been picked up for a sequel of soul eater, it was left open enough for that to be a real possibility.

After reading a review about it, i was sold. Bought the first volume shortly after that. It's fun to read. Fighting fire with fire also works. But there seems to be more than that, but i'll save that till later.

Also, who doesn't love the afterwords at the end (Atsushiya)? I certainly do. It's been like that from B. Ichi.
