Super shallow movie (Yes Hollywood, we know Chris H. is hot as hell). Overhyped and lacked originality. I mean, an unkown sister whos evil? cmon.

Eh, it really depends on how much about the Marvel universe you already understand.
For example, Hela was originally Loki's daughter (in the comics).
To add some type of element that would not add too much confusion to the storyline, they shifted that dynamic to being Odin's firstborn.
Not much about it was about Chris Hemsworth's looks or appearance (sans his haircut).

Like I said: it's a Marvel film.
I thought it was good that they knew the balance between silliness and seriousness (which is something Marvel shines on, in contrast to DC world).

I understand that but honestly, it lacked excitement. Don't you think so? I mean seriously, it was the first time I almost fell asleep at the movie theatre.
Not about hate. I love marvel movies but this one felt like a filler for me.

If you say it like that...
But still it was an okay movie for me.
I was surprised by how little people laughed in the room though. A lot of the same tires people.

but then, if it was the door to an arc I believe it will bring something better.

It's an excellent popcorn flick, and not much more than that. The comedy was mostly great, but could have stood to allow some of the more dramatic moments to breath before slipping in another joke. It made for a good Guardian's of the Galaxy 3.

As a fairly big fan of Thor I thought this was by far the best Thor movie. I'd go onto say this was an action/comedy similar to movies like Rush Hour. You can tell a lot of fun was had while making this. I love the 80's retro soundtrack.. It's just a shallow fun popcorn flick. Nothing wrong with that.

The end stinger after the credits wasn't worth it. Lame

I believe the last two comments explain what I was getting at better than I did.
It's a "fun" film versus a film that will have a significant amount of impact on the overall storyline.
The "plot" of the film was not really the focus point, as much as the comedy/silliness of it.
Let's just say: "It's a comedy for comic book nerds."

Yup this. Though even folks who aren't comic book nerds but have a little exposure (like me) can also find it very fun and enjoyable. I just got around to seeing it last night, and it was awfully fun. OMG Jeff Goldblum!

And the audience I saw it with did laugh a lot.

Hi Lorreen (modified 9 seconds ago). You seem to like old films, that entail something about your age
