I just don't see big deal about this, they said it'll be lot faster than current firefox. Isn't its already fast enough LOL? I mean just how fast can it be if its already fast enough? :p

I copy and paste this from the site down below

I don’t recall being this excited about a Firefox browser in a long time. The first official release of Firefox Quantum drops tomorrow, and even if you’re firmly cemented into the Google Chrome camp, it’s absolutely worth a look.

We covered the beta launch of Quantum a couple of months back. The biggest thing to note here is speed: Firefox Quantum is ridiculously fast, at least compared to earlier editions of Firefox. It boasts a new CSS engine, written in the company’s Rust programming language, that can work in parallel across cores, rather than just using one.

Given that everyone and their grandmother is rocking a multi-core setup these days, this is a welcome leap forward. Quantum also does some trickery with tabs, prioritizing them in the order they’re used, making it up to 30-percent less RAM hungry than Google Chrome.

Some tweaks are skin deep — although, that’s not a bad thing. Visually, Firefox Quantum is decidedly different, thanks to the Photon UI. This is a more minimalist take on the ubiquitous open source browser which, as an added bonus, looks great on high-DPI displays.

If you can’t wait until tomorrow, you can grab the beta here, which is available across all platforms. Otherwise, click here and drop your email. Mozilla will let you know when you can download the final product.

Speed isn't an issue for me but if they can keep that promise of reducing RAM bloat I'll say it is a positive move. I hope they don't wreck any of the power tools (or bury them) as they have in previous versions.

I guess that a plus! :p I'm surpised it out by tomorrow already, I wasn't expecting to within late 2018? They did show new feature, I'm hoping they'll let us keep the old feature.

Edit:
Lets see if I can get it to show..the new feature..I couldn't get it to show up on here, have to click on the video to show you what it'll look like.

The issue I have with firefox is how it displays font. It looks different from chrome and all of it is bold. This is particularly an issue with Japanese font.

probably get it today but if the ad blocker isn't as good as the plugin for regular FF then I'm going back.

I'm currently using Firefox Quantum.

You can download the Beta and update to the newest version.
I have a feeling that it is going to be a fork from Firefox (so the "update" may not actually update to Firefox Quantum).
Personally, I have loathed Firefox since Firefox 2 was released in 2004.
Quantum still isn't using less memory in contrast to Google Chrome or Chromium with the same pages/tabs open.
It is not much of a surprise.
Firefox has always used more memory and CPU than Google Chrome for me and Quantum has not changed that.

Brave was pretty good when it first came out.
Somewhere along the lines it started giving me troubles but might give it another try since I am looking for something for my desktop other than Chromium/Chrome (I know Brave is based off of Chromium).

I forgot about firefox. I might give it a try to see how much it has changed since I last used it. Ram efficiency makes it seem worthwhile.
