I thought it would be interesting to create a thread about your latest Platinum. I don't know if Xbox,Mobile and PC games have similar achievements/trophies but feel free to add them.

Which game and how long did it take you to get it ?

My most recent platinum was Uncharted 2 remastered. It took me 2 days to get it. I played the game on crushing difficulty for the first playthrough and just use chapter select to collect the rest of the trophies.

This is the site to use if you want the exact play time for that platinum.

Friday the 13th took me a weekend to get.
VA-11 Hall-A on the Vita took me six hours to get.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is next.
It should take me about 50-60 hours of gameplay to do, based on my estimation.

Alienation (PS4). Took me about 50-60 hours. Pretty fun game, especially when playing in co-op.

What's next? Batman: Arkham Knight, Final Fantasy XV? We'll see.

Just a weekend? Don't you have to play over 1000 matches?

In the past month I got

Uncharted The Lost Legacy
Rime
Resistance Burning Skies
Tales from the Borderlands

also 100%
Machinarium
A Boy and His Blob

2000+
I had about 10 hours of gameplay before the weekend but only went after it hardcore during a weekend (no sleep).
You have to play 1000 matches as Jason (this is the tough one) and 1000 matches as Camp Counselors.
The Jason one only required hooking up with some guys from PSN Trophies who will grind with you in private matches.
Counselors require changing your spawn preferences to make sure you're always one of the counselors in public matches.

so it took more than just 2 days.

https://psnprofiles.com/ will keep track of the exact play time if you like.

for me, i usually count when i started the game for the first time until the platinum trophy popped up. Bloodborne took about 1 month and 3 days for me. It's not like i spend 8 hours a day playing it though.

Yes and no.
When I get a new game, I try to platinum it within a week or two.
jRPGs take forever, so those are generally "long-term investments".
Though, Final Fantasy XV was relatively easy to get platinum on (for a jRPG) due to its architecture and battle system.
Average for jRPGs is around 100-200 hours, depending on the trophy requirements.

The "no" part is that I don't buy games that are "easy plats" (that you find on the Playstation Store).
I just play a lot of games in my spare time and don't mind staying up for a few days on the weekend if I'm focused on the platinum.
Then the pain in the butt is when additional content is added and has its own separate completion bar (though, does not remove earned platinum - I still go for 100% again).
I do have a few games in my backlog that will require about 8-15 hours each to get their respective platinum trophy.

Backlog:

World of Final Fantasy (need to complete mini-game trophies)
Yakuza 0 (Need to play through on Legend difficulty)
Dragon Quest Heroes II (at around 80-85 hours of gameplay, as far as I recall - still need to sort out monster minions)
.hack//G.U. Final Recode (need the Awakening 500x, guild level 9, and some of the end-game Vol. 4 stuff).

Time for another update. This one i got just a few days ago.

Resogun (PS4)

This was an absolute pain. For the most part, it's not bad but then there's that one trophy which requires you to clear the Arcade mode without losing any lives, on Experienced (Normal). Although there are only five levels, the final level and especially, the final boss are the reasons (for me at least) that makes this hard. Nailed it on my second attempt, but it was very close call. One more hit and i had to redo the whole thing.

So this one is now platinumed, but then there are those DLC trophies, and one of them requires you to clear the Arcade in co-op, without dying. Die once, and you have to restart. How fun... But anyway, those don't matter for now. I can do them later.

a perfectionist!! I think you are one of those people who requested the option to delete games with 0% on the trophies list ? I didn't know about it until recently. My completion rate is 19% or something on PSNProfile. There are quite a few games where i played for 2-3 hours before dropping them thus 0% completion rate on those games

That I am.
I did actually request the removal of 0% games from your trophy list, even suggested to do so up to 5% (because who cares if you've completed 5% of a game, I know I don't).
I often look for 50% or higher when looking for someone to add to my friends list for multiplayer invites.
I used to have about 15-20 games with 0% from the PS3 era.
Ended up buying a PS3 and getting platinum before Sony brought about the ability to remove 0% games.
Oh well.
