It's like an RPG with that total play time. I beat Star Ocean 4 (PS3) and only unlocked like 31% of the trophies (after 75 hours of gameplay). :/ This is why i don't bother with getting the platinum for RPGs.

I guess Uncharted 3's platinum will be my next platinum. I'll just finish the whole series (4+ lost legacy) before starting Dark Souls 3. I like how they allowed you to start with crushing difficulty so you don't have to replay the game twice.

Oh, dear god.
Star Ocean is one of the worst jRPGs when it comes to getting platinum.

Star Ocean 5 took me somewhere near 220 hours of gameplay to get its platinum trophy.
This was mostly because you had to complete it on "Universe" and "Chaos" difficulties, locate and obtain at least one of every item (cataloging each item too), and unlock all recipes.
jRPGs are either the worst offenders to get a platinum for, or the best. (Final Fantasy XV was ridiculously easy to get Platinum on, for example).

I've put 1000+ hours into this game.
Even though I've had platinum for ages (around the 300 hour mark), I just can't stop playing it sometimes.
I'm a massive Persona fan.
Getting Platinum isn't overly difficult but it does require some work.

Currently Playing: South Park: The Fractured But Hole (37% trophy completion).

6 runs on a different engine from 0 and Kiwami. And that's what Kiwami 2 is using.

Damn, I thought they were using the Dragon Engine on both Kiwami and 0.
I stand corrected.
You're right, it is only on Yakuza 6: SoL and Yakuza: Kiwami 2.

Looks like this only applies to certain FPS games (Overwatch, Call of Duty, etc).
It isn't too surprising that people are willing to help you "earn ranks" on multiplayer games like that.
The surprise is that someone is so gullible to believe that once you hit that higher rank that you can play on the tier that you're on after having someone you paid to get you there.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Star Ocean 5 was one of those games that forced me to hang on a little bit longer than desired.
I had to take breaks and play other games before going back to it to finish the platinum.
It was rough but it eventually happened.

$20/hr or something just to sit there and play games (must be a professional gamer though).

btw which sites do you use ?

PS4trophies https://www.playstationtrophies.org/

or

PSNProfiles https://psnprofiles.com/

I can not get any platinum without these sites. I was trying get the dynamo trophy (killing 4 enemies with 1 grenade) in uncharted 3. I gave up after 10-15 minutes and just use the site instead. The road to platinum is a lot easier with these sites.

"Professional" is one of the interesting adjectives here.
Without some way of crosschecking, the most you'll find is someone who has a high rank that's willing to boost you up to the same rank (for practice and for cash).
I've had people offer me money to complete platinums for games that are time consuming that I've already got.
No, no.
No, thank you.
There are only a handful of games that I would play again, seeking to get 100% on them for some unknown reason.

I write trophy guides on PlaystationTrophies.org from time to time.
I rarely check out PSNProfiles, mostly because their guides aren't very comprehensive or well-written.
The only perk over PlaystationTrophies that PSNProfiles has are "tags" for certain trophy types (grind, multiplayer only, unmissable... etc).
Using some BBCode and images, you can do the same on PlaystationTrophies but many do not.

$20/hr for doing something you enjoy. That's not bad.. They will provide the games? The cons are

1- you could be playing the same game over and over
2- all those stats/trophies you earned are recorded on someone else's account

It's a big week for Japan . No localization for Kiwami 2 :?

https://gematsu.com/2017/12/no-yakuza-kiwami-2-localization-announcement-planned-playstation-experience-2017
https://gematsu.com/2017/12/weeks-japanese-game-releases-yakuza-kiwami-2-earth-defense-force-5

I hope Uncharted 4 platinum will not be 2x as hard with all the collectible trophy for the platinum.

Yeah, I mean.. it make sense but I wouldn't have as much fun if I hunted down trophies for anything other than seeing if I could.
If I've done it once, I can't say I'm going to be in a hurry to do it again (if ever).

Yakuza: Kiwami (1) took about 6-7 months for localization.
I have a feeling we're going to see the same thing for Kiwami 2.
As for Uncharted 4, I had a few bugged out trophies that required me to delete all saves and start from scratch to trigger (which prevented the Platinum for a while).

Current Progress:
South Park: The Fractured But Whole (80%) // I think this game will be one of the easier ones to get platinum on.

I hope so. It's a great loss for yakuza fans of they decided to not bring it over here.

I just got uncharted 3 remaster platinum :). thanks to the extend trophy list i didn't get 100% for any of the 3 games.. Brutal difficulty is a pain to even bother trying. I beat the game on brutal but because i changed the difficulty during the playthrough once i didn't get the trophy (testing out the tweak glitch).. I don't want to go through brutal mode again.

Moving on to Uncharted 4 now.. What glitch you are talking about ? i put the disc in and there's an update available 14.738GB (version 1.32)

My most recent was FFXV. All I had to get for that was to fight off the Adamantoise and max out survival.

I'm currently working on Mafia III. I just need one more which involves killing all the racket bosses. I already have to start a new playthrough for that one...

edit: Nevermind. It turns out I just had to kill one racket boss, the one I've never killed from the beginning the game. Add a new platinum to the count!

the road to Uncharted 4's platinum will be a lengthy one I spent 20 or so hours on this game and still on chapter 20. The crushing difficulty is a lot harder than the previous 3 games

Uncharted 4 1st playthrough -- crushing difficulty --- 24 hr 3 min 540 deaths. 34% completion

Most Recent Platinum Trophies:
Dragon Quest Heroes II
Mega Man Collection 2

Taking a break from the Playstation ecosystem for a bit.
I still need to get the platinum trophies for "The Evil Within 2" and "Assassin's Creed: Origins".
I've jumped over to Xbox One X and Battlefront II (seeing as I bought it, may as well get all of the achievements for it).
Just started, though.

You got the first 3 uncharted games' platinum right before this game .. and yet.. still having problems with crushing difficulty ?

well.. at least the hard part is over the remaining trophies are pretty easy... i would replay the game on "explorer" difficulty to enjoy the game the 2nd time with unlimited ammo and one shot kills tweaks You can save about 5 hours if you just glitch the "speed run" trophy instead. You just play the prologue and then switch to the epilogue in the chapter select.

The online trophies for Uncharted 4 are pretty easy. Uncharted platinum will require about 25-35 hour for most people...

I got that speed run trophy using the prologue and epilogue method. It's the reason why i got that 45 minutes load screen. It's still faster than putting 5-ish hours trying to do speed run. I hate speed run trophies. There's no fun in doing speed run imo.

Uncharted 4 crushing is something else -- Chapter 20 was the most difficult place (for 1st playthrough).

1- destructible covers
2- AIs with x-ray vision + pin point accuracy (they can hit me across the level with a submachine gun.)
3- grenades can knock you out of cover + you can't throw them back like in Uncharted 3
4- your partner is pretty much useless on crushing

It's not as hard as brutal difficulty but it's pretty close. I think it will take me about 45 hours to get the platinum for uncharted 4.

The only problem I had in Crushing difficulty on UC4 was the exploding Mummies..but I did use cheats, so....

If you used the speedrun exploit, you must have a disc copy of the game, because they patched that out rather quickly.

I knew about the exploit, but decided to just grind it out 1 Sunday. I came in about 15 minutes under the needed time. UC4 was actually my first Platinum trophy.

the exploding mummies aren't hard to me. You will figure out the best route after 6-8 deaths or so.

I read that the speed run shortcut only work with update version 1.03 and under. I had update 1.32 at the time. That is the reason why i deleted the game install data and start with version 1.0. I got the speed run trophy withing 25 minute or so. Uncharted data install with 1.32 update is around 63.GB in size I don't get why you have to install the whole game on the HDD even when you have the game disc.

My first platinum was ICO a lot of frustration getting the platinum due to the controls and no time counter close to the end. I didn't bother with getting any platinum to any game for about 1 year after Ico's platinum.
