New DUI-E law involve electronics

This law went in effect a few months ago in WA. Arizona might be next. I know Tempe has a "NO TEXTING while driving" law but the penalty is not that severe as a DUI.

I don't use the phone while driving but i do eat and drive when i'm running late Speed up the release of self driving cars and make them affordable then we don't have to worry about DUI ever again!!

Given how well the NO TEXT, NO WRECKS initiative has worked in Tucson, this will bring in tens of thousands of millions of dollars in fines.

it's coming across the states but since the fine is so small it's still done. too bad they won't start a bill where you sit up and drive, there's no need to be in the back seat so to speak when you're driving, aka the seat tilted and pulled all the way back. could be dangerous and unsafe. however I've seen some dangerous things taking place behind the wheel of the vehicle. truck drivers watching porn, people putting on makeup... in some states it's against the law to even use a cell when the car is in drive unless it's hand's free.

I deal with this daily from my commute to work to picking up and dropping off my daughter from school. It's so bad. Every other person I see driving has a phone in their face or are talking on the phone. I don't understand way it's so hard for people to disconnect for a few minutes.

I've used my horn so much that it stopped working a couple weeks ago. Driving in South Florida is a nightmare sometimes.

So how do they intend on handling people using their navigation on their phone?

You don't' have to worry about it unless you got into an accident OR you are in California. They enforce DUI-E pretty strictly over there (or so i heard)
