If you're an anime fan who loves sports anime, then tell me who is your favorite athlete and why do you like that athlete? I'm talking about the ones in the anime shows. Maybe I should have said who is your favorite character and why but that is too boring. So tell me all about your favorite athlete/character in your favorite sports anime.

Ippo or Takamura from Hajime no Ippo. The show itself is just so awesome and it's hard not to like Ippo just because he's such a hardworking good person that's like a monster in the ring because of his hard work. Takamura is just an actual monster and fun to watch.

Well Shokugeki no Souma is basically a sports anime, so if that counted, it would definitely be Souma. He's just about a perfect main character in my opinion.

But I'll pick someone else that's a legitimate athlete. It comes down to two choices, Daichi Sawamura from Haikyuu and Yabuki Joe from Ashita no Joe. Haikyuu has one of my favorite casts in anime, and out of all those wonderful characters, Daichi is my favorite. I just love his personality and how he is always there to support the team. He's not necessarily the most flashy guy, but he is solid and dependable, and he's a great captain. As for Joe, it's hard not to feel some sort of connection to him after experiencing his journey through Ashita no Joe. We get to see him grow so much as a boxer and as a person throughout the series. Personally, I love his cocky attitude too and how he doesn't take crap from anybody and stays true to himself.
