vampires are pretty awesome, so long as you ignore all the dumb crap people make up about them nowadays. only the classic things like dracula are worth anything.

vampire knight is utter nonsense, especially after discovering the relationship b/t kaname and what's her face.

on the contrary, i find dracula slow paced, and boring....modern vampires are much cooler....blade ftw....

too overplayed. i like sticking to the basics of the idea and not overdeveloping it. vk was too dramatic, karin is retarded, and underworld creates that whole cliche werewolf v. vampire thing. john carpenter's vampires was okay; i only saw part of blade, but i don't like a whole lot of modern weaponry and what used by vampires...the only realy twist on vampires that i've ever read and liked was in Cirque du Freak. that series was actually really good. other than that, the way in which a vampire is killed, how they can be born, what they can't do (like sunlight and whatever else) has all been too twisted by modern retellings.

admitted, dracula is a long and hard book to get through, but it's not because of the vampire's qualities. it's the writing style. i'm saying i like the original attributes of a vampire, with a few things added here and there.

have you even read that 700 page book?
its actualy quite indepth
but then again you might just be there for the horror and the action
with no real appreciation for story plot character development
or you could be anywhere inbetween or way out there
but really, its a good book, read it sometime
