Crazy how the build up was with all the MCU movies to get to this point. All the franchises had their own storylines etc but they just added alittle of Thanos in each to spark people's curiosity which culminates in the next 2 Avenger's movies. So trailers showed Captain still in Wakanda which where Civil War ended and I suppose where Black Panther's movie begins. I wonder if thats where he has his base for his Secret Avengers hideout is now. 17 MCU movies so far (Black Panther's movie will bring it to 18) to get to Kevin Fiege's first half of MCU storyline. Also excited to see how Russo Brothers (directed Capt. America's Winter Soldier and Civil War) bring to the table thats different than Joss Whedon.

I really loved what the Russo Bros did with Winter Soldier and Civil War, so I was glad when I heard they were taking over for Avengers 3 and 4.

I liked JL too. It wasn't the best it could've been, but there were still some pretty cool moments. Hope we get a Snyder cut for home release.

It was a vast improvement over "BvS", which had way too many subplots, not to mention it's gloomy look. A lot more faithful to the DC Universe and they even made Aquaman seem interesting. I still thing Warner Brothers is best at solo efforts when it comes to DC movies, but after seeing this, I'm having more faith in a sequel. .

I enjoy superhero films, they're a lot of fun. I don't go in expecting something Shakespearean, so I do have fun with the Marvel formula.

BUT!

Infinity Gauntlet was an incredible comic that I read as a child, so I can't help but have a certain expectation for this film. Even with it missing key characters and concepts, I hope for the best.

This is the culmination of not only some of the best actors, but the single greatest cinematic assemble of cast since harry potter.

Its also the build up of hype ever since the avengers were teased in Iron man and then the stones & Thanos in Avengers.

I am ecstatic that even with this intense level of hype, that we'll still have many movies before and after the fourth avengers film. The next avengers film will be beyond epic and I can't wait to see the rest of the mcu in d-box cinema.

(Phase 4 will introduce new characters to the screen plus maybe new versions ie, we may get Miles Morales & spider gwen alongside Spider-man and maybe even x-men/fantastic 4 joining the mcu as the next big group alongside the avengers/guardians.)

Personally I hope the rumours of Venom are coming true, that it is another corner of the mcu and that we finally get Venom the anti hero, because that means we'll get Carnage as a villain and I loved his 90's cartoon version. (Would make an awesome mcu aftercredit scene with his reveal.)

That is quite possibly the worst movie Marvel has put out so far.

Basically this.

The biggest issue I have with Marvel films these days is how lazy and formulaic they've become. Its starting to become more noticeable in how they treat the writing especially. It's a sort of new age wit back and forth that you see in many sitcoms these days. The priority is, in my opinion, for the characters (And more importantly the writers) to display their whit rather then feed a narrative in an honest and earnest way. Which can be witty if it doesn't pull you out of the notes of the material itself.

When I think of superheros I think of their back story and personality and narrative ultimately. They don't all need to be pushing jokes every second of every hour, and if you think they do, you aren't a very good writer frankly speaking.

I miss the days of films like the Dark Knight. Which in my mind displayed a certain amount of maturity and introspection that the Marvel films have lost.

Seconded.

Honestly? I’d say save your money and rent it later on from redbox or something.
