I dislike pretty much all Christmas music (with the exception of carols sung by Frank Sinatra and the like). The fake-happy vibe makes me want to vomit (just a little bit). However, the absolute worst Christmas songs are the ones sung by tone-deaf children. Yeah, they're little kids, but my eardrums do not think they are cute at all.

How do you feel when you hear children screeching awkwardly through the speakers? I'd turn it off, but I am usually subjected to this kind of thing at work and do not have a choice in the matter.

Deaf children wouldn't be singing the song, they would use sign language instead. How I know? I'm deaf myself (hard of hearing with hearing aids actually).

That not very good joke by the way, because it doesn't make sense. That like saying blind people are the best car drivers.

This is the second time you make fun of deaf people, what are your deal with deaf people? Did some deaf guy steal your girlfriend?

I'm pretty sure tone-deaf just means you don't know how to hit the right notes when you sing. Not actual deaf children.

Yes, the first post definitely reads "tone-deaf". For the record:

tone-deaf
adjective
(of a person) unable to perceive differences of musical pitch accurately.

He's not picking on deaf people at all.

Shipwright, this is for you:

I dare you to listen to it in it's entirety.

poor thing, my condolences for having to be tortured so cruelly. but I'm with you, I don't have a problem with Christmas music or most any other music, but to hear children sing it who can't sing, it makes my head hurt, perhaps at certain notes it could cause my ears to ring. even some of that kids bop crap is horrible. granted the original song isn't all that great but to hear children and/or singing with the person... the best is when it's sung with a choir, when the instructor/teacher knows what they are doing and where to place the kids (whom have had practice)

This may be after the fact, but try buying and wearing earplugs. Suddenly you will be in a monastery where you can gather whatever thoughts you have without that noisome cacophany of preadolescent brats shrilling in your dreams

Just ask some pop singers to lend them the autotune and it'll be fine.
