Hey everyone. It's a really random topic, but I'm writing an essay that will examine/analyze the causes and effects of the censorship of Sailor Moon in North America. I wanted to get the ball rolling in terms of coming up and defending my argument, so I was wondering if anyone here felt strongly about this topic and had some interesting points/opinions that they wouldn't mind sharing.

I hope that^ makes sense, and thanks to anyone willing to do me a solid.
(this is only the second time ever I've done forums, so I apologize if it's in the wrong category or something)

That has been pretty deeply discussed for quite some time, being decades old. I think you'll find more than you could possibly need searching the Internet in general.

Marklebid is correct, though you might need to delve into the archives of the Internet Wayback Machine to find what remains of that era of anime / manga fandom. I recommend seeing if you can find anything on the old S.O.S. ("Save Our Sailors!") group, as those people were representative of the best and the worst of the anti-censorship movement. (Source: I got into Sailor Moon back in the '90s, so I had a firsthand look at a lot of the hubbub surrounding it at the time.)
