I went to a general hospital's psychiatric floor from Friday night to the next Friday's afternoon. It was interesting and if anyone has ever wondered what it is like in case they have ever thought that they might need to go to one, you can ask me about my experience to have a better understanding of what it is you'll get out of it.

If I walk in there and say "Despair itself is the only true joy" Will they lock me up?

i've not watched it before but the thoughts/spoiler given by OP has me intrigued to give it a watch since I can't work and most my days are spent in bed resting from one health issue or another.
...kinda sad in a way that i have a handful of problems and yet none of them can be seen on a day to day basis and they can only kind of be seen when i pull out my bag of medicine i take for them =_=

lol sometimes its not a bad thing to have the younger generation stand up and build on the older generation's sentiments in talking about mental health issues because mental health doesn't discriminate and everyone can get it at anytime. while some recover to a somewhat ordinary life others like myself are kinda stuck with it.
i mean when i was around their age i had already experienced enough to make me wise and want to speak up about it...though at 16 the only kind of internet i had was dial up modem and it was common place to have to pay up to the minute for using the internet unless you used school internet or library internet though chatrooms and most bbs sites were blocked but this younger generation don't have those problems and should help carry on the discussion....at least that's what i would hope cos with discussion and understanding and with time hopefully it would dispel the anonymity surrounding mental health and helping those around us that are suffering alone.
not trying to sound all high and mighty but when i was a kid you had to wait till you were 18 to talk to your doctor about mental health and at most you'd only get told you have clinical depression to cover all fields of mental health but what im hearing these days is that even at 16 you can see a doctor alone and say you have mental health issues and they'd find you help from medication to getting therapists to getting counselling at school or at hospital which i was i had as a kid. also you weren't going to get electroshock therapy whereas in the 90s they were still willing to give you such a barbaraic kind of treatment.

can't say i can do what i want to do like you mentioned since its stuff that would require money and disability benefits don't give you that kind of luxury. (was kinda wishing i could travel all around japan on a bike MC did in honey and clover and travel the world to see the world wonders)
maybe one day if i win the lottery of some kind i could do all those things...but till then i just have to hope VR could take me there sooner and cheaper lol

crunchyroll has a free trial and so does netflix for watching those or youtube is free lol

anyways I did say the above comments to open up a discussion more; that was the point.
I've used forums since before

August 27th 2006 which is 11 years on the internet on one forum alone plus others
so I agree with most of what you said, and it is good I just said it like that to get a conversation going :')

Well tell you the truth its not really Joyful, I really do feel Despair all of the time. I got that Line from role playing game Grandia part 2.. But I just don't see how they can help me by just sitting in the chair and stare out of the window all day..-_-;. ((I'm assuming what it'll be like I got that idea from watching movies.))
