Nyt article: Do you think the Olympics are in any danger?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/23/sports/2018-winter-olympics-pyeongchang-north-south-korea.html

I don't think anything is going to occur , security is going to be pretty tight, nor do I think the north would do such a thing, and with articles like these circulating possibilities of attack i really don't think there is going to be any problems.

What are your thoughts?

NK wouldn't do anything unless prompted by military action against them. Which it seems the White House was mulling enough to have the UN Ambassador initially not commit to the US's participation. Which, for the record, would be a complete mistake. Both for damaging ties with SK and for handing NK yet another gleeful propaganda topic. The US not showing up at the Olympics because they're worried about NK? Kim would absolutely eat that up.

Still, Mattis did call congressional leaders in for a military briefing right after Haley commented that the US wouldn't commit to the Olympics. They've since changed their tune and committed to participation but it's still a bit worrisome.

Don't worry folks. Dennis Rodman arrived on Guam to deliver a message, Guam is safe, America is safe. He'll patch things up with his good buddy Kim Jong Dung
