So far, the best I can think of are the Gunmen from Gurren Lagann, originally piloted by the Beastman Empire before being hijacked and utilized by the human resistance movement, Team Dai-Gurren.

But do you know any other anime series where super robots are mass-produced, and are not just either one-off super robots or mass-produced real robots? I know that there are one-off real robots, like the numerous Gundams from the series of the same name, as well as others like Nirvash TypeZERO, Lancelot and Guren Mk. II, Arbalest, etc. But, again, the only super robot army I remember seeing are the Gunman from Gurren Lagann.

So know any mass-produced super robot armies, besides the Gunmen from Gurren Lagann?

These are real robots, not supers.

I'm talking about mecha that defy the laws of physics, except in army form rather than one-off form. And the knightmare frames actually abide to the laws of physics.

Full metal panic.....arm slaves with lambda drives and the giant mechs, Lambda drivers are tech that messes with the world around you and the giant mechs have tech inside that keeps the giant mech going.

The Mass Produced Evas from End of Evangelion. Not really an army, but they were mass produced.

Again, like with the Knightmare frames, aren't they real robots?

You can say that the Grapearl are mass produced but only two pilots have used them.

Problem: They sucked at first.

You got Fafner also, though that really isn't mech on mech more so mech on monster with a mix of conventional and specialty that have powers.

Beyond that you really only have stuff like Aldnoah Zero with the Martian Mechs, or Valvrave and the vampire sexual assault robots, or Aquarion with the orgasm mech. The theme kinda sticks to crazy for anything outside of the standard mecha category. You'll find extremes. Even Star Driver is like wut.

Depending on how much Mazinger you have watched, you may have seen one or more versions of the Mazinger Army. Those are definitely super robots.

Kind of subjective. In my opinion if they are mass produced they are not "Super" they are base model... Either way to answer your question Chobits
https://myanimelist.net/anime/59/Chobits?q=Chobits although technically considered "PersaCom(personal computers)" they were by definition robots that far exceed typical robots to the point of being indistinguishable from humans in some cases. Certain ones even had doomsday type tech installed. Add to this that they were available to the general public and you have yourself a mass produced super robot servant army. Cheers!

Last season's Knights and Magic had a bunch of armies of mass production giant robots and the whole plot of the show was updating them which did lead to individual designs but there were still mass production ones.

And does Macross count?

Note once they have lambda drivers in them....Then they become capable of bending the laws of reality depending on the pilots mental state and will power.

Also the giant mechs in series require something like a lambda driver to operate at all. Because they are a size impossible for real robots.

A part of the series that is often forgoten in it's mech battles is real robots using strategy and militart tactics to take on machinces with super robot capabilities.
