I usually listen to music when I'm reading or writing. I listened to pretty much the entire discography of Pink Floyd while reading Ready Player One (Pink Floyd>>>>>>>>>>>>>RPO) and a ton of Bill Evans records while reading Haruki Murakami books. Just started reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and listening to the discography of Godspeed! You Black Emperor.

Other than that, I always have music on while driving so I can sing at the top of my lungs.

when I have the time to listen to music I'm either playing a video game, writing or can't find anything on tv and resorts to another chance to entertain myself

I go times where I'm listening to music no matter what I do, and others where I just enjoy silence. Sometimes music just remove the closeness of my small sometimes lonely apartment. Sometimes it's something to air guitar and dance to. I really like it when I'm doing stuff. especially dull stuff. But I also listen when I'm writing or otherwise on the computer. But I find in the later case that I tend to tune it out anyway.

B? Kinda? I pretty much only listen to music while I am on my PC and I play it for filler when I am not doing anything. For instance, I might be watching anime and then I want to watch some youtube or play a game. After the episode is over, I shuffle a song and play it until I am ready to start my next task. Pretty much just kind of chill while the song is playing, or I might read news or answer PMs during the interlude. After the song is over I might go to the next task or listen to the next shuffle. Listening to music right now for example Cx

Someone I ran into once remarked similarly. They thought it was strange not to listen to music when, say, driving.

Actually not listening to music while driving makes sense. You can focus on the road better.

Just my opinion.

B for purpose, A for everyday life.

I think if we can find something relaxing about listening to music, it really just helps you, maybe it carries you. Sometimes you can almost create this other world for your imagination.

I pretty much always need music when I'm driving. I think it's also safe to say that I haven't gone through a whole day without hearing a song. Honestly, music is very much a part of my life.

When I would rather listen to a song instead of listening to someone speak to me I guess we multitask in a way, and I have always seen life as a never ending song. Sometimes other people have a playlist to their lives, always adding more, but there are those few songs that others will agree on.... Maybe it was just good enough to reach out to people.

sometimes music just speaks for itself, there is nothing to hide, and most people realize that. That's what brings people together.
