So this came out today (GTA Online: The Doomsday Heist):

I used to play GTA games many years ago. My favorite is still Vice City during my childhood days and still have the game in physical version from this day.

I never got GTA V though so I'm wondering if it's too late to start this game? The game itself is on sale right now although I've never seen it go below $30.00.

I've found that all GTA games are worth it. I've liked every game so far. (GTA SA being my favorite.)

I haven't actually played GTA 5 myself yet. I should get around to it soon I guess.

Edit: And I assume that people still play it online. Not sure about the quantity of players tho.

It is the Skyrim of constantly re-releasing on new consoles, so it's probably a matter of 'now is as good a time as any'.

No it's not too late, a lot of people still play it (mostly online though).

If you can put crazy stuff in the game like MLP and Thomas the Tank Engine like you can with Skyrim, sure.

The game still lives and it's not planning on dying anytime soon thanks to its online mode. Although, make sure you have a lot of free space .

Agreed. I'm trying to enjoy GTA 5 as much as i can, but i can't help it that San Andreas is much more fun.

Why would it be? Single player games can be played anytime and as far as I know, the online play is still super active.

Multiplayer is pointless if you're just starting out. There is no good way to make money (reliably, other players aren't reliable enough to do heists anymore). Just get it for singleplayer.

why the hell would you play multiplayer in GTA V seriously? that's like playing club penguin for adults... don't take it seriously.

Which leads me to my advice to you: Don't worry about it. Play what you want to play. Just don't expect multiplayer to be like an MMO.
