Thanks for hosting this Swaggercandy!

Ah, the Ancient Magus Bride had quite the showing. With its prominence, I'm a little surprised that no one nominated Maho Yome (Magus Bride's shorts) for Shorts category. Though Love is Like a Cocktail was already fantastic in that category. Out of all the categories, the Best Male VA was oddest for me. While Ryouta Takeuchi has a pleasant voice for Elias, most of the time (save for perhaps a few extreme moments) he was monotone.

Fairly content with the winners. I haven't seen them but I am looking forward to watching Land of The Lustrous and Girl's Last Tour in the future. The one bummer was the lack of Magical Circle Guru Guru representation.

Thanks as always to Swaggercandy

WAY WAY WAY too much Magus Bride.
I like Magus Bride, but I'll be damned if it isn't overhyped like a mofo

But, thems the breaks sometimes.

That said. Grats to the winners. Not much in the way of surprises here tbh. It pretty much went the way I thought it would. I will say I think Kekkai Sensen & Beyond is far too overlooked and underappreciated.

So glad to see 3-Gatsu being strongly represented as well.

I will say though that for damn sure the voters got these right.

Ooh, nice stealth drop with the results.

Seriously, though, great job and thanks as always for running these things and counting all those votes. The results were starting to seem a little less varied than I'd like at first, but I was glad to see them spread out a bit more in the later categories. Really looking to forward to Friday (or whenever it ends up starting; seriously, no rush).

glad to see Girls Last Tour win for best adventure, mystery, and slice of life. it was my favorite for the season. i get ancient magus bride is a popular show with high production quality, but what it presented in the fall season was not that great imo. is it really high hype levels or am i missing something

This is news to me. Is it legally available somewhere?

Land of the Genderless tied for first place in Best Character Designs and Hiro Shishigami comfortably taking out Best Antagonist/Villain??

Way to make the "official" spam awards look credible......

Or maybe people were just blown away by the unique premise of having an entire cast of flat chested girls rather than the standard: 5 girls ranging from flat chested to K cup. Honestly, you keep calling it land of the genderless but to me it looks like a whole bunch of girls with one guy. I mean they talk, act, react and move like girls except for the master. So they may be technically genderless but their execution is extremely feminine.

The latest episode (episode 15) is available here: https://twitter.com/mahoyomeproject/status/955716306522656770. The "mahoyomeproject" is the official twitter account for this side project. Unfortunately it's not subbed (though it is simple enough to follow without it) and, for some odd reason, they take down the previous episode whenever they upload the latest episode (which is every Tuesday).

Maho Yome is a short (approximately 1 minute long) that features SoL/comedy aspects of the cast. While it doesn't add to the main show's plots, it does show amusing character interactions. The latest episode features Chise's midnight troubles:

So not being like other cliched offerings is enough to have it stand at the top? You have very low standards and for what it's worth I too can not stand cow udders on humans, be it anime or real life. They sicken me.
But let me put it in a way that you might understand. If a AAA game or mmorpg was released today and their character customisation features were as bland and generic (non existent) as what Land of the Genderless' character designs are it would be shamed into oblivion.

I really enjoyed Land of the Genderless and almost smashed it out in one sitting but no way in hell is it deserving of best character designs, I mean the fact that people think otherwise has me utterly baffled. Randomly pick out any anime and chances are it has better character designs than Land of the Genderless. The only category it should win is best cgi, that's it. Is camera work a category? Loved many shots.
If anything I reckon people are transfixed by an anime that does cgi justice and want to find as many ways as possible to sing it's praises coz I firmly believe it wouldn't have worked nearly as well if it wasn't made with cgi.

As for why I call it that it's because thanks to Yaoi on Ice and tumblr turning me into a cynical arsehole. I thought I was one of only a small handful of people who watched YoI coz I thought would watch a poorly animated ice skating show with gay characters? WRONG!!
That cancerous site went batshit fucking crazy over something that was "confirmed" via twitter, blowing my mind with their overzealous dumbfuckery by causing a big enough stir that I found out how "popular" YoI was outside of each episodes chatbox.
Their agenda driven antics almost ruined a show I genuinely enjoyed and since then I can't help but see their stupid fucking progressive agendas latching on to a show like Land of the Lustrous and Miss Koybayashi's Dragon Maid, especially when it comes to vote time and yes, it pisses me off that I am like this now.

I honestly thought they were all girls so I played spot the boi until I was informed they were genderless though I can't recall if it was in an actual episode or the synopsis.

There was not too much in Fall that interested me, so I did not vote, but I wish I saw a bit more love for Inuyashiki here.

Oh, a lot of things I voted for actually won, which is kinda a surprise, lol. 3-gatsu no Lion got the love it deserved, and even though it didn't win best anime I'm not actually that bothered because it was a difficult decision for me and I like Mahoyome so I'm not complaining,
