Have you? if yes, how did it turn out?

What's your opinion on this topic?

I've liked co-workers, not interested in pursuing a relationship though. Too many ways that could get complicated.

I've gone out with a co-worker once before.
It was a mess.
Mostly because the moment that human resources got wind of it (thanks, other co-workers) we were told that we either had to terminate our relationship or one of us had to quit (or both would be fired).
The messy bit of it was that we only went out on two dates.
There wasn't really a relationship to end.
We both expressed this to the director of human resources who ended up terminating both of us.

I haven't spoken to her since I shrugged and walked out of the director's office.
That was about ten years ago now.

Wow. That must have been hard.
So the policy in the company had it forbidden?

Did you two work in the same department?

How did everyone find out? Did you tell anybody? or was it obvious?

I did like a few coworkers over the years, but none of them ever turned into anything. And those crushes were pretty shallow, either way. In the end, I convinced myself nothing was ever going to happen there and that things might turn around when I returned to college... But that has gone nowhere either. But it shouldn't be any surprise, I suppose, I'm too old now. And I tend to actually be attracted to people slightly older than me.

She had posted photos from our date onto her personal Facebook.
She was foolish enough to have had some of our co-workers on it.
The rest was just someone reporting the "romantic encounter" to Human Resources with said evidence.

We worked in separate departments but it was a small company, so the option of moving to another department wasn't available.
It was basically "we know you two went out on a date so you need to terminate whatever is going on or someone is getting fired."
Company policy was basically "don't date or have intimate encounters with your coworkers".
Most companies have similar policies in a nutshell.
I've had another situation where we were in different departments and we actually did have a relationship (prior to us working for the same company) and I was asked to work from a different location.

Nope. Due to having seen many superior-employee relationships at my job, one or two of them even resulting in pregnancy I learned long ago not to use the fixings to make yourself a sandwich.

I've liked someone and we had similar interests, but he didn't fit into my "requirements" so it just stayed as like and nothing more.

I liked and talked to the girl but, not really interested in dating a coworker because if things turn sour then the job will become a pain.

I liked this one girl I met at one of my very first jobs, but the company showed me this 'sexual harassment in the workplace' video that was so over the top it made me scared to even talk to my female co-workers. The girl talked to me a few times in the break room but I always froze up around her, thinking even the most innocuous of compliments could get me fired.

I've moved this to the Polls forum.

I've dated, if I recall correctly, three co-workers in the past. I even married (and later divorced) one of them. The divorce happened at a time when we were no longer co-workers.

In all cases it was fine. One of them was in a large company where the person worked in a completely different department, and it wasn't very much like we were co-workers at all.
