momokuri vol8 is missing 15 pages (Character Profiles, p124-138). Will these be available before the title is removed?

I flipped through the volume and it looks like those pages are part of 105.25 so they're there now.

Thanks a bunch to whoever decided that such a short notice period is okay. I have 30 chapters of ReLIFE to catch up and only one day left. And if I did not check the news today, then I would have missed it completely. Not sure if I should feel lucky about this or not.

I did it. It took me 3 days but I caught up on my backlog of Nanbaka and Momokuri in time.

I have to admit, marathon reading series I usually only read a few chapters at a time isn't my favorite but I am glad I saw this notice in time to at least catch up. I have to agree that I hope this means Comico is gonna bring their app out here with translated versions of their catalog. I am still waiting to be able to read the English version of ReLife up to and past the events of the anime.

Maybe it was by pure coincidence that i've started reading manga as such only yesterday and the first one i read was ReLife, an absolutely fantastic title. I was hooked from the start. Good thing there is freemium webcomic and amateur but hardworking translators keeping us up to date with the newest issue.

These weren't series I was into, but it makes me sad regardless that instead of expanding, Crunchyroll Manga is getting smaller and smaller...
Hopefully it'll be as big as the anime service soon. I'm dying to read the manga of anime that have ended!

So I guess that's why Relife never got updated much. It was so far behind :(

Sad that you're losing the Comico titles, I was hoping to see a translated version of Neto-juu no Susume, and to finish out ReLife as well.

I hope the pull-out of ReLife means Comico is about to enter the NA market with their smartphone app. Then we can catch up on ReLife chapters (up to 208 now!).

These are all really good points. Re-life always being significantly behind definitely hurt Crunchyroll manga as a product. Maybe if Crunchyroll picked it up earlier in Re-life's infancy would Crunchyroll have been able to capture Re-life's core fan base.

While obviously I'm not privy to the licensing negotiations for these titles, the fact that they are all Comico titles suggests re-licensing these titles by Crunchyroll would not be profitable because Crunchyroll probably wasn't offered a good deal. The reason being that Comico intends to release its own English app? Considering the popularity of another of Comico's titles, Neto-juu no Susume, this might be the case. (Neto-juu, the anime is really amazing if you love MMO games and prefer the josei genre over shounen/seinen)

It's all speculation, worst case Crunchyroll just decided that making their Manga app a better product just isn't worth it.

Regardless, I had always thought that it's a good thing for consumers if there is more competition, in any market. It simply forces companies to work harder to create a better and more affordable product (assuming equal playing field, which is not always the case).

But for anime streaming and manga licencing, as a consumer it seems easier to have it all in one place. As more and more companies fight for exclusive licensing of titles, it just means we consumers need to add more monthly subscriptions. For example, Made in Abyss, one of the best anime of 2017, is only available through Anime Strike (on Amazon).

On the flip side, if a certain company had virtually everything you could ask for, then they could essentially set their own price. You might be paying $20.00 a month for that subscription simply because no other company has every single title.

It's a complicated mess...
