Just like the title says. I've read a couple of threads and have gathered that I basically have to cancel my subscription and let that run out, then resub and choose the yearly option. I've cancelled my subscription but have read in a similar thread that someone from Cruncyroll was able to refund that person for the month ahead of time so they can resubscribe now. If that's possible I'd greatly appreciate it. Any help would be great. Since I'm midway through my billing cycle, my subscription is currently set to end Jan. 3, 2018.

Done. I'm sure I'm just being impatient, but I've read several comments stating that they too submitted support requests and the response was either slow going or not at all. Just trying to cover all my basis. Thanks for your response.

- For others who may come across this thread experiencing the same issue, ultimately I was advised that my monthly subscription must first expire then I can resubscribe and choose my desired billing frequency.

Technically, it is a 12 month sub, because it lasts only 360 days (twelve 30 day months).

Go to your settings page:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/membership

There you should find a "Change plan" drop down that will give you the price for 1 month, 3 month, and 12 month plans, along with the "Change" button.

This apparently doesn't work for some people (I believe it depends on how you pay), but in that case, one could always cancel their current plan and then resubscribe using a longer term plan when that expires.

Well, I let my subscription expire in order to resub to get an annual membership, however it's only giving me the monthly option...How to I start an annual membership???

"Plain" premium:

or if you want Plus:
